Amazing how much we are not able to see until we slow videos down or speed them up.

6:13 Tim samaras and his twistex crew was right behind him in this shot. They most likely died right then and there.

Monday Morning QB , I know. But @2:17 was a fateful decision. They BOTH should have turned LEFT on Highway 81 and headed North! 😢

I understand wanting to get clicks and views, the title is intentionally misleading, which (in my opinion) is pretty low considering there were casualties involved... El Reno was an EF3 not an EF5.

Around 4:40 is where Tim samaras car was picked up, more than likely only seconds after he had gone through

That brick silo that you see towards the end that disappeared in the video i was parked in front of it 5 minutes before and went douth it never crossed my mind that there were people behind me that was a wild day godbless those that survived and and forever remember those that lost their life on that unprecedented storm

Lighting strikes the towers repeatedly! And the little red flashing lights in the towers just keep on flashing like nothing happened. 😎👍

If you look closely at the tops of tall towers, there's a metal cage around the uppermost beacon/strobe that protects it from lightning strikes.

@@thelightninghunter8607 That's awesome. My childhood home was next door to a house that had a lightning rod attached, this was back in the 1970s.

It was interesting seeing the front and back of the tornado criss-cross due to the relative transparency of the debris cloud, sort of like a cloud dance.

Do tornados seek to find a ground like lightning? Will tornado paths weaken over artificial ground, like an interstate highway?
