Teen Killed After Pursuit Of Stolen Car Ends In Crash
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 5-9-24 / 10:00 pm
LOCATION: 10611 Westheimer Rd
AREA/CITY: Houston
DETAILS:
HPD officers were in route to assist the officer call. They witnessed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed that crashed into another vehicle in the 1200 block of Richmond.
The two officer unit attempted to stop that vehicle but a pursuit ensued.
The suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle in the 2800 block of Kirkwood and kept fleeing.
The suspect vehicle then attempted to avoid a METRO bus on Westheimer Rd and crashed into 3 other vehicles.
4 suspects jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.
Officers were able to detain two of those suspects.
When officers went back to the suspect vehicle, they located another suspect in the backseat unresponsive.
He was transported by ambulance and pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The two other suspects were also transported by ambulance with minor injuries.
The 5 vehicles that were hit had no injuries.
The suspects are all between 12-13 years of age.
The vehicle was reported stolen.

The ages of these thieves is just insane to me. What are they doing out so late @ night to begin with @ their age? Investigate the parents & find out where or what they we're doing while their child was out stealing a car with their friends going along for the ride & endangering themselves & the public. Consider charging the parents maybe that will send a message to parents so they will put a little more effort into raising the child or children they brought into this world & know where they are.😮Ontario, 🇨🇦
At least the driver will have previous driving experience when he goes to get his licence in 3 years.

Police cover up. I heard they shot all five kids, but two of them were able to escape and find enough witnesses that the officers had to stop and render aid.

I'm a single mom that worked 2 jobs w/ morning and night time hours with 2 kids..... @12 yrs old they still had babysitters especially at night. I don't understand how 12 and 13 yr old KIDS/CHILDREN are out at night like this. Unless this was a first time thing... this should fall on the parent as well as the child. My second job was 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. so 3rd shift is not an escape goat for excuses. If the child doesn't listen that's what they make other schools for
