Her voice is literally perfect for this role. The cracks, emotion, belting. Her voice even sounds like a child almost ... perfect!!!

@@thomasloic9316 yeah tbh Betty and Kevin are the only ones who sound good in Riverdale. The others can sing but the auto tune ruins their voices and Archie has to sing in a different accent as well so...

@@bellbito7318 Personally, I think Keaton is better, simply because Carrie is supposed to be awkward and I think she has the right level of awkwardness and is perfect for the role of Carrie. But to each their own I guess.

She literally embodies this role, she fits the book description so well, while she’s in no way fat, they give her clothes that don’t flatter her figure and it’s perfect... she just needs the acne.

I love Molly and Evelyn more than Keaton but I think Keaton is also really really good.

Her voice is so childlike and innocent which is perfect for the character, yet the emotion and rasp she’s able to put in, especially in the destruction really shows the way she’s been pushed to breaking point

I wonder if Keaton had shoulder pain from carrying this entire production on her back

@@sierraHAHA... oh definitely! everyone in this production did fantastic. but keaton was practically MADE for this role, her voice and performance is amazing and feels authentic. she’s got a really unique style that made the show stand out above the rest

She just fits this role fantastically well - and probably will for a long time, with her crazy high and young sounding voice. Let's hope they bring this back to Broadway and let her do the role, she's my favourite Carrie. Her acting is phenomenal.

The Seattle version was one of the best. Chris, Sue and Carrie killed it. Alice Ripley always kills it as well. When Tommy was killed off my heart shattered and Billy was so comical and mean.

I’ve never seen this musical but I saw the destruction song, and now hearing the “doesn’t anybody ever get it right” bit makes the ending even more heartbreaking, god this girl is phenomenal

she has a really good control over every single note and crack to show emotion. I wish I had the same so much.

I swear she pulls her off so weellllllll 🙏

Her voice is absolutely phenomenal but I’m so nervous that she’s harming it from the raspiness and the slight yells. It may be a sort of distortion she’s learned, but I’ve never seen someone do that to their voice without harming it.

If you watch the videos of the dress rehearsals / when she first started, her voice doesn't have any of that raspiness/yells to it, maybe her voice is just tired but she's leaning into it on purpose?

I can tell that she's sick, and she's doing so damn wonderful regardless. This is a great example of just making it through and allowing any obstacle to just feed into your performance and characterization.

He diction is on point! SHE IS AMAZING!

HER VOICE IS SO CLEAR OMG-

At the end you can hear her voice getting tired and it cracks but she uses them so perfectly to her advantage by making them full of emotion like fear, anger and sadness!!! I love it 😻

this is my favorite carrie,,, i dunno if it's wrong to prefer her over the original broadway carrie. i just love her voice so much.

She has the perfect light sweet voice but can easily bring out the cracks and emotion and strain. it’s amazing!

This is my favorite of the musical renditions solely because of Whitaker and how phenomenally emotional she is.

I first read the book and she is the one who brings the spirit of Carrie from the book the most in my opinion.

THIS YOUNG LADY IS THE REAL DEAL. I saw the ORIGINAL on Broadway and the Off bway revival . For the first time im able to hear every WORD..Her diction is impeccable delivered with the power of MERMAN. I watched this entire on my show and was impressed by the entire cast. Ionly wish the costumes for both Carrie and Mrs. White were more Modest. Wearing skirts was a religious must for Margaret White and her Robe Was actually distracting as it was too reveali g for one who is offended by "Dirty Pillows". I did enjoy the sexual frustration the actress playing Margaret was able to exude with haunting subtlety. KUDOS again. I wish this CARRIE a very successful career in Musical Theatre. ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
