Ripley's pronunciation is a little strange; but there's something about the whole scene, and her, that just seems "right" - she almost sounds "stuffy" (as though she has a blocked nose) which fits this song.

Neither hold a candle to Linzi or Betty from the original. But these actors are very good! Glad to see Alice has fixed her vocal issues.

Everybody want's Alice to be Sideshow Alice, or Sunset Alice or Tommy's Alice or King David's Alice Fantine's Alice, Rocky Horror's Alice. I went to college with Alice, more than 35 years ago! and we remain friends to this day. The truth is that this amazing vocalist/performer is approaching 60. She has adjusted her vocals accordingly. She is a consummate performer/singer and has had to adjust her vocals accordingly. I say BRAVA! and for those of you dissing her, I suggest you even try to approach her stature and talent. Well done Ms. Ripley!

The notes at 2:01 are outstanding! I find myself hitting that random “SAINTS AND ANGELS WHAT CAN IT BE…..BEEENDDDIIIINNNG” at times😂 her Keaton’s Carrie is definitely my favorite.

I love Alice Ripley, but my goodness are her vowels strange in this show. She's also flat quite a bit - like I said, I LOVE Alice. But I don't think Margaret was the right role for her.

Absolutely! Thank goodness She's good in next to normal and I thought she might have been good in this show too when I saw she'd been in it, but then I actually started watching the scenes with her in it, and... It really isn't that great... Shame, cause I actually like the staging of this, and Keaton is great

The great Betty Buckley absolutely owns the role of Margaret I sure wish I could have seen her in that role back in 1988. But the show was closed in around 10 or twelve days. What a shame !

Alice Ripley's voice is so fitting for this role. Especially in this song bc it genuinely sounds like shes close to tears. Idk what you haters are smoking, Alice is probably one of the best Margarets. This is not an opinion, this is fact.

Not at all. Alice is horribly out of tune and has no energy. I can’t imagine why they chose this actress to play Margaret. Betty’s voice is powerful and beautiful - and she just floats over the last 2 sentences.
