The koenigsegg CCR or CCX (don't know if both) also had manual transmition. And paired with around 800hp.

Wow, compared to other Carrera GT videos I've seen, your rev matching is impeccable. I hear this clutch is pretty tough and demands a lot of precision, so kudos to you. Impressive!

The bite point is so high. I’ve sat in one and got the honor to drive it around, the clutch is no joke, the owner says it is one of the hard parts of driving it and the lack of driving aids make you pay attention to what you are doing.

@@oswaldomorales8924 no flywheel is my understanding. It's a key reason why the revs drop so fast... the only car you would need to rev match going up a gear if you're slow....

damn this car is quick, the thing barely has to use any revs. sounds like its chilling out yet still passing cars

that's exactly what it is. The driver wasn't even close to using the Carreras full potential, which again makes sense, considering that he had no need to do it and also how difficult the Nordschleife is.

And the reason for that is it's engine is a good naturally aspirated 6 liter V10 coupled with a 6 speed manual gearbox, combined with a lightweight chassi. You don't need turbos to be fast and at ease when you have that combo. Unfortunately, building cars that way is becoming a forgotten art, as nowadays most car makers are taking to turbos and automatic boxes, and cars are getting increasingly heavier.

It looks very agile at the corners, very fast, it seems it never gets to its peak! The motor sounds so calm, not tired, not even at the last part of the Nurbur. The driver is outstanding too.

This is exactly what a car like this was meant for, being enjoyed as a car, not a statue in a garage. This is awesome!! There are those that would say "but if he wrecks it then it is ruined and he lost money..." To which I say, so? He is enjoying his car, as a car, and if it does get destroyed, the car went out in a way it died a quick, honorable death. Instead of dying a slow, agonizing death just sitting and looking pretty.... Cars may not be alive to most people, but I see them as living, breathing beasts that need to be let out of the cage from time to time.

Very nice indeed. As others said, it's great to see someone use the car as it was intended... You said it's your first lap at the Ring with the CGT but I assume you've had quite a few laps in other cars. I've had the pleasure to drive the ring for 4 laps a few years ago and I have to say during the 4th lap, I could swear there were corners I had never seen before !!!

Nice drive... fast enough to have some fun, but still not taking any chances. This may have been one of Maxoge's first laps with this car, but I'll guarantee he's been around that track more than a few times.

Marcel K the Carrera GT is notoriously tricky and unforgiving to drive. Also no ABS, no TCS, no ECS ,nothing.

right...the carrera gt has no electronic stability system, but wrong...it surely has anti lock (ceramic) brakes and traction control. ----- cars like the british TVR Sagaris or the Noble M600 has non of the electronic helpers.
