Captain America The Winter Soldier OST 06 - The Winter Soldier by Henry Jackman

Музыка

I do NOT own anything in this video. Music is composed by Henry Jackman.
One of the most badass themes I have ever heard BTW.

The greatest achievement of Russo brothers is that they made a guy with a metallic arm more terrifying than a space god floating on a throne capable of destroying entire planets. Every time this music came on in the TWS I knew Cap and his team were fucked. Gave me the creeps.

I don't think Thanos will be scary. It'll probably be like Ultron. They build him up as a terrifying badass but instead he'll be boring, spewing one liners, and getting his ass handed to him. They had a good villain with Loki. But we'll never get the scary villain we want. And I wouldn't count Winter Soldier as a villain. He's more of an anti hero in Winter Soldier. In Civil War he was a good guy.

Ok, couple of things: First off, Bucky was far from an anti-hero in Winter Soldier. An anti-hero is someone whose actions are ultimately heroic, but doesn't fit the conventional standards one imagines associated with a hero. Does planning on killing millions of innocent people for a Nazi terrorist organization sound heroic to you? Second, if you want "scary" MCU villains, watch Dardevil or Jessica Jones. Both shows have villains that will send shivers over your body when you know what they're capable of

That Haunting call at 0:15-0:30 is just excellent. People criticise Marvel for having weak soundtracks, but that sound is so iconic now, I just see the Winter Soldier everytime I hear it. It almost summarises the character, like a distant cry that can't be heard...like Bucky's memories. It's so chilling yet badass. Loved This movie and I loved Civil War just as much. I would say I loved Civil War more, but now that I think about it, we wouldn't have got the Civil War movie that we did if Winter Soldier wasn't made the way it was. I never would have thought that the Captain America Trilogy would be one of my favourite movie trilogies of all time. Thank you The Russo Brothers....thank you

Thomas Arrigoni I think that Widow did know him in the movie universe. But pretty much her 'thing' in these movies is that she hides and lies about her past. Think about the scene where he's hunting her and she looks back and grins, that's a grin of "I know how to play this game with you, bitch".

This made me cry. It's just so haunting, and when the mechanical banging noises started, it just made me realise that Bucky's character endured DECADES of mental torture and, basically having his mind rewritten over and over again. This just upsets me. It's an amazing piece of composition and I can't stop listening to it, yet I tear up every time because, it just reminds me of all the things Bucky had to endure, not just on missions where he was FORCED to kill hundreds of people in cold blood, but the mental torture he was put through when his missions were over and HYDRA decided to wipe his mind clean and put him to his "factory settings". And yet, after everything he's been through, he still slightly remembers Steve - in the film, he recognises him, but can't place him. And later he saves his life - without knowing fully who this man is to him and why he felt he had to do so. As I said, he's killed hundreds of people, but as far as we know, he's never saved anyone. Then why, of all people, does he decided to save a man he used to know, that was his "mission"? The character development on Bucky is so heartbreakingly epic, that it makes this movie one of, if not THE BEST, Marvel film ever made.

This is *years* worth of Bucky’s pain and mental torture poured into audio form-a single soundtrack. Those distant, swelling yet subtle ghastly cries, like far off memories. Possibly my second favorite soundtrack out of the MCU. It screams Hydra and what Hydra has done to Bucky.

Just by two cents, considering how underrated music is in many movies nowadays. Maybe one reason Winter Soldier is considered the best MCU movie is partly due to it having a soundtrack unique enough from standard fare the MCU movies normally carry. And when I say soundtrack, I mean compositions, not acquired songs a la Guardians or ACDC.

I think what’s so unnerving about this score is the metallic screeching-almost human, enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Because the Winter Soldier is not Ultron-an automaton come to life, he’s a living being turned into an automaton. The pulses get me too-like controlled shocks-or brainwashing.

At around 1:28 if you listen real closely you can here whispers in Bucky’s head saying, “I’m with you till the end if the line, Sargent James Barnes” which is repeated then cut off half way though Sargent by the next mechanical sound. This is what is going through Bucky’s head and it’s muffled by the mechanical solider that Hydra put in his head, thus he can’t makes sense of the whispers. That’s why when Steve says it “Cause I’m with you till the end of the line” on the exploding hellicarriers, Bucky has this flash of recognition as the words finally make sense, then fear at what he has done to Steve. Some sad shit here.
