One thing that I hope gets addressed is the matter of Ross' heart. In Captain America Civil War, Ross says, "5 years ago I had a heart attack." and then in the Black Widow film, Natasha asks Ross over the phone, "What is this, your second triple bypass?" In the comics, Red Hulk does have a healing factor as long as he doesn't get too hot to use it. So, I'm wondering if the real reason why Ross took the Leader's help to become Red Hulk was to fix is heart issue since he wouldn't be able to win the election, much less run the country with a failing heart.

Something that's hasn't been addressed that really bothers me is the events of the first hulk movie. Like did Bruce really not tell anybody that it was Ross' fault a favela in brazil, a university and Harlem got wrecked?

Im actually really excited to see sam take on red hulk without the super soldier serum A real David and goliah scenario that will test Sam's moral and conviction.

Agreed, but I'm also concerned. I'm trying to imagine a satisfying conclusion to this fight. I don't want it to end with Sam giving another speech. I like TFATWS, but that final speech was hard to watch. I don't want another "a Hulk stops because of Betty" moment like in Incredible Hulk. Obviously because it's been done. Meanwhile, Sam can't physically overpower a Hulk. Is the physiology of Red Hulk the same as OG Hulk?

Red Hulk never had a moustache, so actually makes sense that "shaving" it off works both for acknowledging Harrison Ford tagging in and Red Hulk looking more consistent in transition.

​​​​​​@@radrno7 There's a scene in the trailer where Ruth(The Mossad/Black Widow agent) is looking up at someone at 14:31 and you see a big green arm as if it's transforming That has to be Bruce turning into the hulk after finding out either she or The leader helped turn Ross into the Red Hulk Which would be a callback to him freaking out at even a drop of his blood getting into anyone's blood stream and how he flipped out at Samuel Sterns replicating his blood Also Mark Ruffalo is in the cast as Bruce Banner, but he definitely will become the hulk

I have a theory that the Leader brainwashed Isaiah, ordering him to shoot Ross. But here's the twist - not to kill him, but to inject him with some Hulk serum and turn him into Red Hulk, and maybe the Leader can control him in helping him take over Washington and then the world

More likely it was an attempt to get him to 'activate' the hulk that he already had. To discredit Ross and allow the leader to install a puppet in his place

I really was not expecting them to drop RED HULK in the very first trailer

I'm just happy we finally get a proper cherry blossom season movie.

The serum didn’t drive walker insane. It heightened his emotions and clouded his judgment following Lamar’s death.

When Ross tells Sam that he wants another go at making Captain America an official military position, this just further cements that once Sam says no, Ross will just do it anyway and form the Thunderbolts. Ross might even use the Thunderbolts as a way to get the public to slander Sam Wilson further since it could be seen as Ross giving Sam a fair chance to adhere to his goal, but the public could just see this as Sam being stubborn.

Same here. If Bucky was given his rescue, why not Isiah? While it might be his funeral we see, I would rather that Sam take advantage of his wing connection and get Isiah rescued and taken to Wakanda where that brainwashing can be cured like Shurri did with Bucky.

In the Comic's there was always controversy about Red Hulk. General Ross always had a mustache, but when he changed into Red Hulk, the mustache vanished, only to come back when he changed back. Very stupid on the Artists.

Love the breakdown, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus isn't playing Val Cooper. She's playing Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. The characters are almost interchangeable though.

It really does, if including most of the eggs mentioned -> Eternals ending/Tiamut -> Adamantium source reference, ie Wolverine for the new Deadpool & Wolverine -> plot of Thunderbolt Ross takeover of govt/ Red Hulk appearance -> Skrulls & mutants, No wonder the title is Brave New World... more interesting for me to see if the further character development of Sam/ Falcon into as was mentioned, his various roles as himself a black man, Capt’s Best friend and chosen to helm the shield as CA; his role as a veteran military and view of political influences to HIS understanding of role as CA; his coping of all that - it’s a great potential of deep character plot. I wonder how if he might undertake that as well as Boseman did in BP and the prior CA:Civil War film. I think Mackie could surpass it since BP was a sovereign Nation with Wakanda and its same race mostly; whereas US is multicultural of many of its people’s. That has me intrigued if they can pull Falcon/CA level of comprehension and understanding of all those elements and be as great as what Rodgers was saying Sam could be; and why he chose Sam for the shield. It would be a good action packed but intelligent movie like the prior CA franchise has been so far. Guess we will see... good possible breakdown of trailer tho! 👍

Never really thought about it but, if we're using 97' as the timeline for x-men, a non-time traveling cable would be going on 30-something in the 616. Now, this would only make sense if we're talking about a Battleworld/Thanos ressurection or something like that, but theres something notable about them bringing out stories featuring Deadpool, Cable in 97', and Bridge within the same year.

Plus Stark was the only one who corrected it; but he’s dead in 616, and not likely he gave that antidote for other Extremis. Banner also manipulated his own Gamma, and likely kept his testing to himself as well, as he was known to do once the Snap event happened, as only Stark understood it as thoroughly, as he did.

The Red Hulk is back! The closest variant I've seen of him is in Agents of S.M.A.S.H., but I wanna see the conflict between him and Sam!

Lol if you guys are going to attempt to make a joke about the Supreme Court and the president it would do you good to actually understand what they did. It’s not that fucking hard. If you want to hold the president accountable for acts he makes as president you IMPEACH THEM. the president has always operated with diplomatically safety. You can’t take him to jail after he’s no longer in the position if that’s when you choose to start your pursuit. Jesus Christ.

John Walker was a better Captain America than Steve because while he wasnt the perfect being he was flawed and had real traumatic experiences in war unlike Steve who basically didn't suffer any mental Trauma from fighting in World War II one of the worst events of human history I really enjoyed his role as Captain America much and his partner Lamar who sadly lost his life helping his friend and to be honest both Bucky and Sam we're both a holes to him when he was nothing but nice to them and wanted a team up and he was never a villain I'm glad he's going to be in Thunderbolts, he was the true hero of the series not Falcon or Winter Soldier!

Huh? Steve watched his "best friend since childhood" slip from his fingers to a presumed death. Did you forget the how he was in tears and then tried to drink himself into a stupor afterwards and was hanging out in the now bombed out pub where he last was with Bucky? He then had to tell his sweetheart he was going to sacrifice himself to stop the Valkyrie's payload? Even in the theatrical cut of the Avengers, Steve is having flashbacks to the war when he is at the punching bag. In CATWS, Steve is mourning Bucky in the Smithsonian exhibit as much as Peggy, and the mere appearance of someone who looks like his presumed dead friend leaves him frozen. Steve had the trauma, but was just a better man. Walker was cut from the mold of Gilmore Hodge, the candidate for Project Rebirth that Col. Philips preferred, instead of Erskine's favorite, Steve.

Great work- this really has good information and interesting theories. I don't expect much these days, but... please let this be a good movie.

It wasn’t just the super soldier serum that set Walker off, but watching his best friend get killed in front of him which pushed him over the edge. But as we saw by the end of the show he came back and redeemed himself when Colton was talking about villians I just knew he’d say Norman Osborn, lex Luther… and Donald trump😂
