Cape York to Brisbane Motorcycle Adventure Australia Part 8 | DRZ400E | QUEENSLAND OUTBACK

My biggest, longest, hardest and hottest motorcycle adventure ride to date. In this video Josh and I continue our journey south from the northern most point of Australia Cape York.
Our trip nearly gets derailed at Mt Surprise when two of the three petrol supplies were either closed or empty. We were than very fortunate enough to come across a beautiful Australian location by the name of Einasleigh and experienced some fantastic riding and terrain.

    Good stuff Lance. I sympathise with you Guys trying to walk any distance in those bloody boots cause your’e right, they certainly ain’t made, for walkin, in. They’re usually a good way to get heel blisters pretty quick. Any Crocs that might have been in that Copper Gorge waterhole would’ve been ‘Freshies’. They’re nowhere near as big, and as mean, and as ‘munchy’ as their coastal ‘Saltie’ cousins. The Freshies very rarely get any bigger than 2 metres and they’re almost exclusively fish eaters, with long and narrow snouts that are filled with LOTS, of small but bloody sharp teeth, that are only about 3 to 4mm in diameter, although there was a case that I saw on the TV News only a few months back now, where a tourist up in the NT, did get a ‘little love-bite’ nip, off one of them while they were swimming in a waterhole up there. Looking forward to your next video. 😉👍

    Yeah that’s the general consensus. Maybe some fresh water crocs swimming around. Thanks for the info. It was tempting to jump in and explore. Awesome place.

    Good times had by all I'm sure. Looking forward to seeing the next. The riding season is growing long in the tooth up here in Northern Utah. I came across snow on the trail yesterday.

    Thanks mate. I don’t. Just use bulk SD cards and worry about it all at home. It’s no fun having to worry about it while out there. I just ride, film, talk smack and hope when I get home there’s is some good stuff.

    Aww 1080p on this one. Running out of space? Was loving the 4k. Awesome trip! Probably wouldn't hurt to have long-range radios for situations.

    Another great Vid. Question .... how does the Butt handle the long hours in the saddle of the DRz or have you developed callouses to compensate. nice work guys

    Yeah it sucks to be honest. For me the enjoyment of riding and exploring takes my mind off it. However if I was on a freeway I notice it straight away.

    Might be the mic but it didn’t sound like it was raving it’s arse off. If you went again would you change gearing or was having a low 1st gear most important on the tight tracks then cruising at lower revs on the open hwy sections? Problem up there the space is soo vast you might be doing hundreds of kms between the tracks. Tough to get the gearing right.

    I had a 15-44. That definitely helps on the highway but sucks in the tight stuff. It has to be that way though. As you said too many big stretches to cover. It’s also the weight I carry along with my body weight though. Just works harder. All good though. Got a big bore kit now. Sorted.

    Question...Solo Vs Riding buddy?

  • @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    A year ago I would say solo and still would unless you find that perfect riding partner which in my experience is super rare.
