    Finally, I pulled the trigger on the big bore kit. Hopefully, it arrives tomorrow. Been looking at getting the big bore 434 kit for awhile, seeing how Sally pulls through the hard rough shit with the 15-44 compared to sock bore just ate at my mind, thinking I "might" became want, want became need lol. this video was the last sign/convincing I needed. Thanks mate for all you blokes do it's just awesome! Some of the best riding content on KZread.

    Awesome to hear man. It certainly showed its worth while riding next to Josh. I didn’t film much of it but when we were side by side my bike just pulls so much harder and gets going much quicker while at low revs.

    you might be getting air pressure buildup in your front forks, your forks get warm when working hard the air inside expands and they start to feel really stiff and choppy. you can add push button fork bleeders for convenience you just push the button and let the pressure out it's a lot easier than unscrewing the bleeder screw so you'll do it more often.

  • @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    Mate I have never even looked into that for no other reason then well I don’t understand suspension all that much. I’ll suss that out as it has been said to me a few times since this series.

  • @6226superhurricane

    @6226superhurricane

    @@The_Apprentice_Adventurer yeah on your fork caps there's two plain screws to bleed the air. the ones in the centre of the cap are for adjustment and the ones to the side are the air bleeder screws. to bleed the air you put the front brake on pull the bike back until the forks are fully extended then loosen the bleeder screws. if you put fork bleeders on you do the same then just press the button and hold it until the air equalizes which only takes a few seconds. fork bleeders are about $30 you'll want ones for showa forks.

    it's worth noting that as soon as you go outside the weight range the bike was designed for every bike needs the suspension setup for rider weight and use. if you don't get your suspension done you can only get away with more weight if you ride slower. the suspension just can't accommodate a weight variation of 40-50kg over what it was designed for without a compromise

  • @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    @The_Apprentice_Adventurer

    3 ай бұрын

    Absolutely. No arguments there. I’ve seen first hand riding next to the same bike same weight without a suspension upgrade. It’s even visually a notable difference.

    Thanks for watching mate. I always carry one spare per tyre, if in the outback I’ll carry two spares per tyre. On this trip I just ran normal tubes but I did that because I knew the Motoz tyres didn’t require heavy duty tubes due to their compound. Zero issues.

    Great video lance, I think the drz is certainly a keeper as its simple cheap and robust, I think a wide ratio transmission upgrade on top of the big bore kit would make it even more versatile! I have ridden the Vic high country twice and found the Basalt track that leads to blue rag track the hardest section I had done, it made Billy goat bluff track look easy!
