My 67mm adapter plate for my Canon Powershot SX60 HS camera has arrived.
📌 Get Your 67mm adapter plate from Ebay

📌 UK ebay.to/2GnBeYB
📌 US ebay.to/2Gpjigx
This kit it took longer than expected to arrive from China. (My luck working overtime, as usual haha)
I did a quick video, showing the 67mm adapter plate in action on my Canon SX60 HS.
📌 Ebay Links below for the Canon Powershot SX60 HS
📌 AU ebay.to/2IilRNB
📌 UK ebay.to/2GGQ5Ng
📌 US ebay.to/2J4WWyt
You can use the Lens Hood and Lens Cap at the same time.
The supplied lens cap, and lens hood, fit really snugly on the 67mm adapter plate
The first filter I tested is the UV one, in the roll film days, this filter would have blocked out Ultra Violet light, but with modern digital camera sensors, this is no longer needed as the inbuilt chip does it for you.
The second filter I tested, FLD Filter used for correcting fluorescent lights, when its used outdoors it enhances blues in particular, this lens might be suitable for seaside shots.
AND the one I was really interested, was the last one I tested, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the CPL lens actually works reasonably well, at blocking some Polarized light, the reflection on my car is reduced when using this filter as can be seen in this video.

Its a very good camera for the price. I'm very happy with its capabilities, its not up to professional results of an expensive SLR Camera, but its not that far away from it. P.S. Its also now my my main KZread Camera.😀

Yes, you need to be careful not to cross thread the adapter. I also bought a larger lens cover to fit the 67mm thread so I could leave the adapter plate permanently on my camera.

A polarizer filter must be at least from the middle price range on, not at the lower range. I bought one recently from ebay a cheap one, and it doesn't do any good in the sky, as the matter of fact it worsen the image, giving half sky a browner tone. While long a go I brought a middle range priced one, and it was fantastic, with a quarter or half turn it changed dramatically the picture, the sky from light light blue it transform in a lot of more, more deep blue with clear clouds, more contrast between sky and clouds, while losing 2 f stops, the results was beautiful in the waters or the leaves too, etc.

I agree, the cheap polarizer filter hardly does anything, it came in the kit. I would go with a higher priced one as you suggest, to get better results.

Hello Gary Purcell, I have an sx50 with a 58mm ring adapter instead of your 67mm. Would recommend the 67mm over the 58mm? Would this provide any benefit? I am asking before I buy filters. Thanks or any help you can extend!

Hi Narhaniel The main reason I went with the 67mm adapter ring, is to avoid vignetting on zoomed images. The smaller size is OK, as long as you don't intend to use a lot of zoom in your photos or movies. You will of cause loose more light coming into your camera, using a 58mm as opposed to a 67mm. Lenses are more expensive for the 67mm but not a lot. Hope my answer helps you.

I'm new to cameras and just ordered the sx60. I see some adapter kits out there sold by goja and Bower that I think step down to 58mm? This cannon adapter goes up to 67mm? I just want to buy the correct uv filter and adapter for protection purposes I do not want any vignette.

The 67mm Lens Adaptor Plate, when you use your 67mm filters or lenses, will not have vignette. That''s the main reason I bought them. P.S. You'll love the Canon Powershot SX60 HS, its truly an amazing camera for its price.

Garry Purcell thanks! Ordered the adapter plate and a cheap set of filters like you had here. I had a heck of a time deciding between this and the entry DSLR Canon 1300d. Both were about same price. Figured this was a good way to get introduced to photography and less complex as a DSLR.

You will be very happy you bought the SX60 HS. My daughter has a very expensive Canon Camera, the lenses cost more than the SX60 HS, BUT... by the time she gets the right lens on her camera I already have the shot. haha. Admittedly her camera produces better finished photos, but it takes a lot of time to set it up. I love the fact I can zoom way beyond her expensive lenses, and get satisfactory videos and photos.

Garry Purcell my thoughts exactly. Then you have to lug around multiple lenses as well. They're heavy and expensive.

Just a quick side note: Checkout full zoom on the moon when you get your camera, best if you have a tripod, if not, then brace yourself against a wall, and you will see the craters on the moon very easily. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun showing your friends your new cameras capabilities. All the Best For the New Year

Reali Thank you for the Explanation of "Show". 🙂 The 67mm adapter plate should screw on to the camera easily, make sure your adapter plate is seated correctly, and not cross threaded. I have left mine permanently on the camera.

The Canon SX50HS is 58mm diameter, I would suggest you go with a larger 67mm diameter filters like I did, so you don't get vignette on your'e images. P.S. A set of step-up and step-down rings are quite inexpensive to purchase.

Thank you sir for your quick reply. Sorry to bother you but I have one more question please. I searched the term but I'm still confused. On the shopping websites in my country, the adapter ring comes with two numbers. For example it says "Adpater ring 58-67mm". I guess it's a step-up ring but will it fit on my camera lens? And does it mean that it's size 58mm or 67mm? I'm really confused and need your help because I'm new to such accessories and I'm purchasing online. Here's the adpater rings available on the website (unfortunately they don't mention if it's compatible withe the SX40 HS or not) egypt.souq.com/eg-en/adapter-ring/s/?as=1

I bought one on the 17 May 2017. I had to hitch 150km, take a 15km bus ride and then walk 2km to get to the camera shop because I promised myself I would one day walk into Orms in Cape Town and pay cash for a Canon Powershot SX50HS - but by the time the 60 came out I had enough money to buy one so I bought that instead. It's a lovely lovely camera but it had its limitations so learn to be what I call a 'thinking photographer'. But please make life easier for yourself and print out the manual, bind it and study it.
