Using a Canon System Flash, i.e. 580EX makes the camera a step better. Even for Macro or Darkness. The Canon external Flash rules the camera by infrared patterns up to high speed Flash and fastest series Mode.

How to click a blur background picture in this model

Hello. I have a problem and I would be very grateful if you could help me. I always work with the manual and I can choose the aperture and speed as well as the ISO. But at a speed lower than one second, the ISO stays at 100 and can not be changed as desired !! Do you have a solution to this problem? Thanks.

Av mode if you want autofocus? sorry but you might be a bit confused there, AV is the aperture mode, where you set aperture.

It's a good camera to have around long as you get CHDK installed which will unlock full manual mode and timelapse. There's the sx70 which is newer and can shoot 4k. The sucky thing about this camera is the autofocus under low-light conditions.

How to change the maximum transfer video above 1 hour? because the canon powershot sx60 hs if you transfer on your mobile phone there's limited to have transfer the video about 5min.

AlcoPlayz press DISP. Until it shows on the screen. Well this is really late but hopefully you fixed the issue 😂

On the get go, no since there's no timelapse + manual mode will lock the ISO to a 100 if you pick shutter speed lower than 1 second. But get CHDK on this camera and you got yourself a capable manual shooter with no locked features.

Hey, I have this camera, can it be charged with just a USB cable? Into an IMAC? For me it doesn't charge :(

hi in video settings is there an option to record video in 60FPS at 1280 x 720p or can you only record 60FPS at 1080P? as 720P 60FPS would take up less room than 1080p on memory card, thanks

Unfortunately no, but if you upload the video to KZread you have 720p at 60FPS, so if you have a video editor program, then you can save the video as 720p in 60fps if it's the final file size you're worried about, but you still have to record in 1080p @ 60fps originally so it would be a pain to go through all that trouble.

Hi, just watched this tutorial, I have a question if I may.....I have taken some shots with my new camera, but when I view them on my iMac, they are square photos as opposed to the nice big photos that come from my older cannon camera....can you explain or tell me how to adjust so that my new camera also takes photos in a bigger format as opposed to this square shape...many thanks

No - it has NOTHING to do with image size. Your aspect ratio needs to be changed. Do this. Take a photo - any photo. Then press the Func Set button at the back of your camera and scroll down all those settings at the left side of your screen. You will come to something that looks like this. 1:1 Then at the bottom of the screen it will give you options. They read 16:9 for lovely wide panoramas 3:2 for slightly off - square. 4:3 for postcard sized who H is what I use mostly. Then 1:1 for square photos like Instagram. Then 4:5 for a postcard turned sideways like if you want to photograph a bird with a very long tail. Hope this helps. Oh and when you've made your choice press the middle button again to set it. Cruz Madrigal aperture and f -stops are same thing

The adjustment dial is kinda sucks, its clicks all the time you wanna use. It should be silent like SX 500 IS which was on the front side of the camera instead on top.

Any reason to can tell me why my footage is coming out grainy both during recording and play back?

Grainy footage is usually because of low light, if you have good lighting on the subject then try shooting in AV mode with your ISO set to auto.

Retro, check your diopter adjuster - it's that little wheel next to the viewfinder. Look through the viewfinder AT something, see if it's blurry and then twiddle the know until it looks clear. It's the equivalent of the optometrist checking lenses against the chart when you get a pair of spectacles.

Please may I respectfully suggest that those people who do NOT own or use a Canon Powershot SX60HS please keep their comments to themselves - it is a FANTASTIC camera for those who take the time and trouble to study the manual and learn the camera!

Please redo with a bit of corrected info. And for goodness sake, shoot a object (vs leaving it blank) so we can see the focus box and then view it on the LCD. You also did not show a important and very useful menu where color saturation, etc. can be changed.

You can't compare them. The Canon Powershot SX60HS has a fixed lens. The other is interchangeable.

in order to use the flash (which never tells you anywhere!) you have to slide that hot shoe off the top...don't lose it...after shooting you can slide it back in.

This isn't a great video really. You basically say it has buttons and dials to adjust the settings. One of those dials is the viewfinder focus which you only need to set once for your vision.

Thank you very much. I wish ISO was a button on the camera body. Sometimes I have very little time to change ISO and a button on the body is vital in those instances.

@@ZZstaff You can program a shortcut onto the button on top next to the On button. I have mine programmed to change the metering. I suppose if I suggested printing the manual out and studying it with a pen in your hand to make notes somebody would accuse me of being a troll. Look - Canon have tried very hard to fit a quart into a pint pot - to get the best out of this camera you need to be a thinking photographer, you need to know its limitations and how to get around them. And know your manual.

A good Camera Poorly Reviewed. MF is macro focus for close up, does not mean manual focus, just an example. You need to learn before you teach.

This didn't help me very much. And where's the cover off your back?? How do you see the screen thru the door?? I know that opens b'c I can see the groove and the hinge! But you say nothing about that. And another thing, it would be better if you actually "focused" in on something instead of a blank wall so we could truly see the difference in a couple of the things you were talking about. And "here's another dial on the other side" wtf? If I was to rate you out of 10 I'd give you a 2.

I'm not sure if that's what you mean, but on my sx60 you can turn on the view-finder by pressing the display button twice.

shiftiest potato camera ever, don't wast your money. Save up for the Sony FDR-AX53 Handycam instead.
