The added graphics were very helpful. I find your explanations to be very easy to comprehend, and appreciate your approach to teaching.
Thank you for using the "KISS" principle (Keep It Simple Stupid). You do NOT 'dumb down' explanations, but keep it simple enough for the lay person to comprehend. Greatly appreciated - thank you!

Excellent explanation for everyone. Thanks for your video.🙏
Paul, I'm an amateur photographer who owns a Canon T6 who just enjoys taking photos of the birds at my various bird feeders and critters in my yard. I've been watching a few of your videos the last two days and really appreciate the detailed, but simplistic way you teach us amateurs. I have learned so much from the last two days. Thank you.
A big fat YES Pls to the Crop factor vid! Thx!

You got it! - coming soon 😀
I'm a self taught photographer and even though I have learned these things from experience and comprehensive knowledge- I wouldn't be able to explain to someone else with detail and proper verbage this information so I try to watch videos almost anytime I have a chance to absorb the information... Even though I know most of it I still learn something Here and there but this is beyond the most informative video I have come across for 'beginners'. You touch the same basic principles that most other videos I watch do as well but you give so much more than any of the many I've seen. I love this. I can actually explain now how I do x,y,z referencing the actual information. It's like when I took math and they asked us to show how we got 2 and 3 makes 5 - my head says well... I just know 2 and 3 equal five. But what they're looking for (and what tool you've just given me) is me writing out 2+3 = 5 and showing the technical breakdown. Love!!!
So easy to understand instructions and examples! I have had my Nikons for more than 9-10 years! Finally feel Ike I may understand some of the WHYs

Thank you Paul for your great instructional videos. Have watched several. Like that you keep them fairly simple for beginners. As someone new to photography I was a little nervous about not shooting in auto mode. Thanks to you I am now using manual mode and learning how to find balance in my photos. My camera is a canon t7 which I received as a gift. I have now subscribed to your channel.
great video, thank you!

Another great video, I hesitated to watch because I thought I knew everything there is to know about telephoto lenses, but I did in fact pick up some things that I was unaware of! That being said, I feel the same about crop factors, but if you do a video on it I’lll be sure to watch it. I’ve watched several others “crop factor” tutorials in effort to learn and have seen some good ones and some very hard to understand ones. You have a knack for being able to make things simple and explain it in a way that is easy to comprehend. Keep up the great work, you are helping a lot of people with their photography, thanks!!!!

Just found this channel a few nights ago and i have to say thank you so so much i have learned loads in 2 hrs of your video's and i'm having loads of fun taking night shots as i live in a high rise block so the views are awesome but i struggled with night shots as always blurred or out of focus but you cleared that up in video brilliant love the channel
Thanks. Would love to learn more about the CROP FACTOR.😊
Another excellent video thanks Paul. I used to do a fair bit of wildlife photography, especially of birds in flight; when using the telephoto lens I found the best way to keep it as steady as possible was to bend my left arm and rest the lens on the crook of the elbow while holding the camera in my right hand. This was a great way to eliminate shake with a moving target.
Awesome video!!! So very helpful! Thanks so much

Always enjoy your videos! Not only are these good tips for beginners, but they are a handy "refresher lesson" for those of us who are not new to photography. I have also learned that the simple act of pressing the shutter button can cause some camera shake... esp noticeable at longer focal lengths. Using a remote shutter release can help with that, also.

all explanation i need to know is in here.. im a begginer in telephoto and now im slight begginer because the knowledge i learn here..thanks sir..keep it up
Brilliant videos. I am new to photography so I just keep going over and over your videos. I have never heard of the crop factor. So now I’ll keep that in mind. I am looking forward to the day I am a lot faster at putting all the information together before I take a photo. I’ll take a few reasonable photos within the limits of my kit lens and my understanding, then the next time I’ll completely forget. I write things down and try to take it with me wherever I go.that way o hope to get faster each time I practice. Thanks for your time and wonderful videos.
Paul your the best for us new bees using entry level cameras that people can afford.

Another great video! I got my first 35mm camera and telephoto lens in 1978. It was a Kodak Retina Reflex III. It was about 15 years old when I got it. I had tons of fun with it. I still have a lot of the prints I took then, and I think I started off pretty well. We didn't have KZread, back then, so I learned everything from books or trial and error.
