Lets speak facts....The only two relevant people on the Daily Wire were Shapiro and Owens. Shapiro has been foaming at the mouth since Israel was attacked...to the point where it's impossible to see him as objective. AND NOW you let Candace go. At this point the publication is useless. The public wasnt acknowledging anyone else. This guy said a bunch of nothing.

No difficult questions for someone who is Pro-Israel? You are hypocrites. When you have a Pro-Palestine quest you always lead with a question like, 'what should Israel have done in response to 7th October?' (as though the only war crimes or terrorism is on one side) but with a genocide-supporting person like Klavan, nothing! You should be ashamed. 15,000 children are dead because of the indifference of people like you.

Candace is using "Christ is King" to mock Ben, knowing full well that Ben and the jewish community do not. There was no issue in who didn't or did believe Christ is King before October 7th...I'm not even opposed to her hearing the other side of the coin.....if she wants to blame Netanyahu and his admin go ahead... I even ask why such failure in protecting their own people. However, she clearly opposes to see video(s) on the damage done to the jewish people on October 7th but has no issue seeing videos circulating of palestinian children being (and I mean planted) hurt in raids (which everyone has seen). Seems she's forgotten to see the other side and closed her heart once she had people speaking on how terrible the jewish state is and has taken her eyes off the ball, which is the true evil Hamas is and continue to do so in in the middle east and in Africa. Her free will, I suppose.

Imagine someone thinking that is deep... Yes, mate. If you declare x to be bad, then anything containing x will be bad by definition. If "masculinity" is declared criminal, then every masculine man is by definition a criminal, making this "analysis" a trivial observation.

  • @craiglist6580

From the beginning Hank the DEA agent is portrayed as more masculine than Walt in the show. Walt isn't a hero or a man, by the end he put his own selfish desires and ego above his family. Meanwhile Hank is well respected, an actual hero, and a family man. If anything Breaking Bad is about how people like you mistake having material wealth/power and being cruel as "masculine" when it's actually about being a provider and helping others.

  • @thomaswalmsley8959

    @thomaswalmsley8959

Except Walt is very clearly not shown in a masculine light. And nothing externally really is keeping him from being masculine, he's just bitter about how his life turned out (which are a result of his own actions, which is why is start in the show mirrors his end in the show despite his journey, he's bitter that other people stole something from him despite it being a result of HIS actions). As he goes deeper into the criminal world he loses even more of his (virtuous) masculine traits, he lies constantly, has no sense of honor, no sense of commitment, is egoistic, no sense of commitment to others ect ect. If anything the most positive masculine person person in the show, as already pointed out, is uncled hank (tho I suppose one could say he is ultimately punished also for his masculine traits, but you'd have to really tease that out). And the only other criminals do have masculine traits, it's just very obviously the negative ones (Tico, the twins, the white power uncle, ginger what's his nuts maybe).

Andrew, some of what you said I agree with, but the conservative side also has this problem with taking everything too seriously. And you are also doing this by giving this example of Bale saying Moses was a terrorist. He was joking - Bale has a particular, dark, sarcastic sense of humor, you would know this and understand him better if you followed him closer. It's not that deep, not that serious. If you actually follow Bale, he is one of the actors who doesn't get political almost at all, and who has deep empathy for everyone in this country, he literally spoke about our senseless polarization. He often, jokingly, has a go at everyone, trolls all sides, and mocks the industry, politics, and mostly himself!! That's what he also did with his Golden Globe speech when he won for Vice a few years ago- he mocked himself, he laughed at himself. So see, this is also a problem with the right and one of the reasons conservatives don't produce culture at such a scale that the left does - because conservatives lack the sense of humor, the distance to themselves, it's not just the far, extreme left, but on the right, even the more centrist balanced conservatives lack humor and too often take everything too seriously. Many of these actors don't take it seriously at all, you think they do!

There was one more point that Candace tried to make regarding cancel culture and censorship: She spent much of her career saying you cannot make it impossible to criticize bad Black people--and the same MUST also by the same reasoning be said about bad people--if they happen to be Jewish--without that being turned into a charge of antisemitism. That is what the 2 rabbis were doing, and some others also fall into doing. We need to be able to tell the difference.

The problem is that if you allow criticism of Jews, then people will be permitted to discover certain pieces of information which will make them very angry and hostile toward Jews. The elites require a docile, dumbed-down population who allow their own exploitation and will even give thanks for it. They cannot allow freedom of speech or free inquiry, so they ensure that any criticism of Jews is conflated with a desire for mass-murder. They propagandise people to turn everyone into an activist, fighting for the oppressed, of whom, courtesy of the Holocaust, Jews reign supreme. It’s only recently begun to unravel in the face of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. The Golem is turning against its master. We live in interesting times

And I hate to break it to you guys, but Candace Owens got out of a contract without it costing her money or too much of her fan base. She knew exactly what she was doing, and it WASNT “standing up for freedom of religion”. Good for her, if she has an opportunity outside of her contract and she can make that happen, go for it. You were offended and are projecting your feeling on “other people” so you can claim justification about the actions you take to SENSOR her freedom of speech. I do really like Klavan, and I am concerned about anti-semitism, whether we see it on the left or right. But it bothers me that I have seen from the Daily Wire and hear from Klavan in this interview a lot of the action we criticize in the progressive movement, the reading of racist intention into ambiguous statements, guilt by association, inability to tolerate people with whom we have differences of opinion, and a lack of willingness to dialog with these people.

This is more than guild by association. This is him slandering her through careful choice of words. And of course, then there is the usual DW BS about this, this, this is great about christianity, when all the things he mentions have been beaten into Crhistianity by the enlightenment to great resistance of the Church. In a hundred years, Dudes like Klavan will say how it was Christian love that propelled homosexuality into mainstream....

I'm Jewish, Christianity is a beautiful religion to me, and christ - a more than worthy role model for people to follow. This drama has nothing to do with religion actually at the core. The religious aspect just happens to be exploited in this way. Invoking god solely in order to "other" another group or groups seems oxymoronic. And disrespectful to god.

I still don’t understand how what she said, not HOW she said it was antisemitic. And Candace had the conversation with the Rabbi (who was a manipulator-extraordinaire and liar) in attempts to debunk the fact that what she had been saying was antisemitic. I think this man is caping for Jews because he has a personal bias as he is ethnically or culturally Jewish. Just because many use “Christ is King” disingenuously (they don’t even believe it), and to provoke Jews in their hatred towards them, it doesn’t mean that Candace was doing the same - I think she was saying it because she believes it, and was saying because she felt she was being shut down for criticising Jews in some aspects, and wasn’t gonna be told that she couldn’t say that just because those who didn’t like it didn’t like it (a freedom of speech issue). I don’t think she was saying it in malice towards Jews at all. Furthermore, not everyone who calls themselves a Jew is Jewish. God’s people are whoever believes in Christ for their redemption from their sins and reconciliation with God, and follows Christ, living by His teachings. Theologically - according to God’s words - the Jews are still God’s first chosen people, yet only a remnant of them all are elect of God and will be given salvation in Christ. Real Jews believe the Father, and therefore believe the Son, and kiss Him (worship Him) that the wrath of God passer over them, and the same goes for the Gentiles (see Romans 11 KJV). The Jews are under God’s wrath for their idolatry, pride and self-righteousness, treachery and whoredoms, and their abominations before and against God, and even bigger, because they reject God’s way of salvation for them (and all mankind) through His only begotten Son, who was also a Jew according to the flesh, Jesus Christ. That’s not to say people can mistreat Jews - they shouldn’t, just as they shouldn’t mistreat anyone. But Jews are not above being criticised, disagreed with, or rebuked just because they’re Jews, and it happens to them by God’s providence because in being hard-hearted and stuff-necked towards Him by not submitting to His Son to have God’s righteousness for themselves, they are neither the light of God to the world to bring other nations to worship their/our God that they can also partake in His goodness and salvation, they are being chastised by God (and remember, God chastises those who He loves). With all that said, I love the Jews, and pray for the peace of Israel, and God will open the elect Jews’ eyes to the truth of their salvation in Christ when the fulness of the Gentiles (the very last Gentile to be saved) has come in. 🙌🏽😌🙌🏽

When this happens, I'm far less critical of the person they fired, and more suspicious of the people who hired and praised them in the first place.

sorry to break your small brain about "cancel culture" but all institutions, companies and media organizations, including Daily Wire do in fact have a legal standard and rules all employees have to follow. Candace Owens and her nonsense conspiracy theories, plus her ignorance with regards to anything foreign geopolitics is the reason why I hate her garbage takes. Candace Owens has ZERO knowledge of geopolitics. just like Tucker Carlson. I come from Eastern Europe. the war in Ukraine done by Russia is a war crime. and only you know the history fo Eastern Europe and how Russia was always a imperialistic superpower that stole lands from other Eastern European countries, you will understand why CONSERVATIVES of Poland, Romania, Baltic nations and Finland hate Tucker Carlson. Tucker Carlson just like Candace Owens don't "own" the label of being a conservative and sure as hell both of them went full clown mode with their disgusting takes with regards to Russia vs Ukraine war or Israel vs Palestine. Israel is definitely not a perfect country but Israel is also the only country in the Middle East in which the Christian community is actually growing and feels relatively safe compared to being a minority in Islamic Arab countries. try being a Coptic Christian in Egypt or a Christian in Israel. you would feel much safer in Israel compared to Egypt as a minority. this is a fact. so maybe American conservatives like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson should shut the hell up with regards to foreign policy and geopolitics. as a general rule, most Americans don't know much about the outside world to begin with. yet some clown like Candace Owens talk with "authority". she embarrassed herself, and she is using her "Christian" identity as a shield to avoid any criticism. sorry but Candace Owen being a "Christian" while also being friends with that scumbag pornographer Andrew Tate is the most disgusting and insulting anti-Christian thing possible.

@@tabmana960 Are you asking why antisemitism exists, or why it flares up during tough times? Thomas Sowell’s done some great work studying the Jewish diaspora and attributes historic prejudice against Jews to a number of factors including the fact that they were outsiders who may have appeared to quickly become more materially successful than many of the established locals through the adoption of middlemen-type trades. In my view the problem may have started when they began referring to themselves as ‘the chosen people’ and claimed to be carrying God around in a box as they walked through the desert. Something like that would get the gossip flowing. Antisemitism is the oldest conspiracy theory. Quickest IQ test you can administer is to ask someone what they think of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

I used to like Klaven, but for him to equate the unhinged tweets of one of his detractors to what one of his colleagues was saying is a leap in logic. Any phrase could be used in the same manner, such as God Bless America. The Daily Wire is dying a death of self inflicted wounds.

It’s very disturbing that he indicated that Christians are somehow Closet Antisemitist. The disrespect he showed to a Religion/People who are Israel’s most strident hardened supporters was a huge mistake in my opinion. It’s just going to turn more people away or worse turn them against Israel & the Jewish Religion. Seems like an absolute moronic misstep, even if that’s what Kraven truly believes he should have kept that to himself. Very disappointing & now is making me rethink my entire outlook on what is going on in Israel..

@matthewmarek1467 - No. It seems like no one understands - Candace Owens made the statement accusing Israel of genocide, which is not true. Because Ben Shapiro called her out on it, she answered with quotes from the bible about money, and ended with Christ is King. Since they were having a major disagreement and he is a Jew, that was an insult. She started the whole unfortunate mess.

Klavan's family guilted him for converting to Christianity. I think he's unhappy about that, and that comes out in his being hypervigilant and very protective of Jews.

I found his explanation of antisemitism was dishonest. Women were considered partners rather than chattels and they were equal before God and law under Christianity. Nor were Christian men allowed to rape. I'm sure rape and pillage took place in battle, but it still a sin. It was not Christian's "inner Jew" telling them not to do these things. It was part of Christian belief.
