Sephiroth is weak compared to some of the characters who have to self-limit their power in SSBU, like Palutena (an ACTUAL Deity) or Kirby (an orb who kills Eldritch Gods like they're ants). I guarantee that if Palutena or Kirby was allowed to fight at their canon power levels, they'd be able to kill you with a Jab at 0%.

Sephiroth's up special goes farther when "uncharged", doing the regular slash instead of octoslash. Not sure how much that would have helped, but a few challenges looked somewhat close using octo.

I love it when you make these videos keep up the good work!!

Master of Hyrule did it without issue.

I think that a lot of the damage-based challenges that were attempted with the gigaflare would work better when working with the shadow flare for additional damage and distance by a long shot when max shadow flares are on the opponent.

Announcer: "Success!" Sephiroth: "Criminal."

This needs to be a playlist of characters doing these challenges.

Can’t wait for the next dlc character to have as OP moves as sepiroth

It's more of a heavy armor like bowser tough guy armor, doesn't flinch until a damage output is reached.

The whole Internet was talking about it lol. And believe me, I wouldn't think sephiroth of all people would join smash. Until I saw it. Because the game awards was completely pointless. The first tune from the one winged angel was a dead giveaway.

These were all very unique and there wasn't any redundancy or repetitive things at all :)

i cant beat him in kingdom hearts 2. took me enough months to beat him in BEGINNER MODE. barely lasts 10 seconds on proud mode when he gets to his second phase IF i can get through the first WITHOUT underestimating the range on his sword . AND by trying not to get hit after a combo or a strong attack BECAUSE 4 ATTACKS WILL MELT YOUR HP ON HIS FIRST FORM! HE HAS A FREAKING ATTACK THAT INSTANTLY PUTS YOU ON ONE HP AND YOU CANT AVOID COUNTER OR BLOCK OR CANCEL IT!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA- excuse me have issuesi

He can legit use his counterattack against that homerum bat.

For the Training Stage jump, I think he could make it if the Battlefield stage wasn't there. The closest I've done is by facing backward and using Sephiroth's forward air to stick into the top of the two 'steps' where you start then jumping out of it, and airdodging when nearing the Battlefield section. The section prevents an optimal direction, but you could still get pretty close with your jumps and Octaslash.

That minecart race looked like a tie to me.

Wall hit effect from the minecart happened before Sephiroth's wall hit animation played.

For the vertical wind try using the sword(by lodging it in the wall) to gain some extra height

Weird with armor break... I use a LM and my shield can survive the explosions... or maybe the sephiroth I meet was weird but never had a break shield with this without a 2nd one.. But great video :D

I feel the need to mention: Most of these challenges are using Sephiroth's Omnislash Up-B by holding Up-B. But if you just tap Up-B, don't hold it, Sephiroth will use Sword Dash instead. The key difference, is that Sword Dash will get more height and range, but doesn't deal much damage. While Omnislash is a good kill confirm, and great safety for recovering; since it's tricky to challenge with the risk of high damage. But for many of these challenges; the distance that Sword Dash offers is so small; it doesn't often come into play. Maybe he could succeed in one or two more challenges involving platforming.

I see these as bets Cloud made with Sephiroth.

cloud is only here to see sephiroth fail most of these challenges it brings a smile on his face

I like how pretty much every time they need a strong move they use neutral B

1:56 Okay, so if you are as persistent as I am, you CAN make the Training Stage jump as Sephiroth, let me break it into steps: Step 1: You must have his One Wing. Step 2: Keep your back to the ledge at the start, jump off and forward air the wall and then jump up from that, this will give you an easier time with the next step. Step 3: Forward air the wall connected to the floor beneath the start, jump up from that, use side-b to change your direction and forward air the Battlefield stage's ledge. Step 4: Use your remaining 2 jumps and an air dodge to get past the Battlefield stage. Step 5: Use up-b to get to the end. I thought of this the second time a watched this video, Sephiroth's forward air can help him with a number of different things if you're smart with it. Have fun trying it this way. I'm gonna go see if you can do the same with the "Jump across Hyrule" challenge.

If Sakurai and Bamco gave Sephiroth his trademark glide ability from Dissidia and 012 as well as the KH games to his Smash winged form he would have been successful in a lot more.

I think you could have did draculas castle if you had jumped off the stage backwards and then do the sword to grab on to the stage and then up B

So apparently you can reflect sephiroth counter like the Sparks and they do more damage then the fully charged flare.
