I don’t subscribe to this idea that Son missed on purpose. At the NLD he went past Saliba and Gabriel, was one on one with the keeper, and completely skied it. It strangely looks like both Salah and Son haven’t really been at their best since the African and Asian competitions.

Son was running full pelt, needing a goal against the title leaders with 2 fantastic defenders around him. Football happens a lot faster for the players than for the spectators and I’d be shocked if it wasn’t just an average miss that every player can make except in a larger scale

I'm a die hard Gooner and I reckon it would be a miracle if West Ham got a point or three against City. I put our chances of getting the title at 5%. So I'm just gonna enjoy our game, hopefully a comfortable win, and appreciate what the club have done this season. But I will definitely be putting money on us to win it next season.

Thanks for a well balanced discussion. I think it's Citys to lose, but they rarely do that! Still very proud of my team, Arsenal, who have had a magnificent season.. and who knows, stranger things have happened. Toes, legs, arms, fingers and eyes all crossed for good luck!

As an arsenal fan, i just enjoy the final game win or not. I has been a great season for us overall.. nothing to be ashamed of if we didn't win the championship. We will do better next season.

I was thinking that when I saw the shot: how many times have we seen Son score that exact same goal in the last decade? Two thousand? More? But the bigger one for me is bentancurs defending for the first goal. I'd have defended better in that situation, and I am no premier league player. Gets close to him and then backs off enough for the player to put the cross in from the left. Horrendous.

Needs Man C to get a red card when score is still 0-0. That will make Man C short of one man and start getting nervous as they cannot afford to draw. Had Spurs let Man C won by 3 goals then I would say there is absolutely no chance for Arsenal.

Son's first touch needed to take the ball slightly to his right to give him a good angle to go either side of the keeper but the ball went straight through the middle which made it much harder to go to either side of the keeper!
