Really great video. I used to live in Dumfries and have done this trail many times but never the Slab. Probably worth pointing out that many people have broken bones on the Slab so well worth going with a riding partner just in case! And the training loop at the start is really well designed as well for beginners. This has a mini slab which I have done and which is scary enough!

Much of the Barnbarroch loop is closed thanks to treefalls at the mo, which is a shame as its about my favourite part. I've been going to DB for 15+ years, never done the 'full' slab, have done the 'half' in the way you did in the video. Enjoyed this, thanks.

rode dalbeattie a few times back in the day with my old club - the woollybacks. we used to go up for a weekend once a year and do dalbeattie on the friday. have to admit to a wry smile when you thought you had done the slab, and it was just the qualifier. been down in the wet and stopping at the bottom is a challenge. are the terrible twins still there? that was harder than the slab imo.

That slab was seriously scary especially with a T-junction at the bottom!

Totally agree!!! It is super steep😬 it never looks as steep on a GoPro 😂🤣😜

It is still closed, but some of the blues are open. Parts of the red have been flattened completely and not touched yet.

Rode them trails many times nicer the years you yourself have to be more confident relaxed on the bike you’ll enjoy it more increase your speed on the trails you’ll find more flow keep going getting out there . & please don’t take this as a criticism
