same design as 2.0 V-TECH? (2018 civic)

Would the 2016 Civic apply for this repair tutorial? The 10th Gen Civic is 2016-2021

your check engine light will come on and it will be a code P0341 thats usually how you know its time to replace them. but if you wanted to you could replace them anytime

I have p0344 on my civic, what to do

My check engine light is on with this code and the car is not running good. If I replace these sensors, do I need a computer to do a relearn procedure for the sensors? The reason I’m asking is because when looking at buying these sensors, it says relearn procedure required. Thank you!

Was told thst the timing chain or something like thst gets worn out and messes up the time causing the camshaft code.

I would always try new sensors before jumping into a timing chain job

Okay so those are the sensors. What is the name of the cables plug into the sensors.? I got one of them chewed by rats fortunately is only one small cable. But is this replaceable?

they're called the connectors, you can replace them but you will have to cut the wiring and have the new connector soldered back in. definitely not a job to do unless you understand electrical and know how to solder. sorry that happened to you.

The sensor are expensive would this make the engine turn off after a sec?

The car was crashed so the engine mounts broke but I want to start the engine to see if it works. The waste gate broke too so idk if that’s preventing it on staying on

I had a emission light comes on and check the code it says camshaft sensor problem said by autozone scanner. Should I go ahead to order the part to replace it by my self or bring this damn car to the dealership and let them look at it? Confused because out of warranty and I have just change the fuel injector and replace the head gasket all together for 7000 dollar

if it has a code for the camshaft sensor I would just replace it yourself, its easy to do and you can save yourself some money especially since you just spent 7000

hey how you know the camshaft sensor is the problem, i have the same issue, and change de o2 sensor, and have nothing better with the car

neither needed to be changed i just wanted to make a video on how to replace either one to help others out, you'd get a code for which one wasn't working right if there was an issue

No. Then you clear your code. But I can almost guarantee your camshaft sensors are not throwing your emissions code. That's usually more along the lines of an Evap Purge solenoid. Or plugged vent

How about an Hrv?

the hrv has a 1.8l engine it should be in a similar location but the hrv is a SOHC so there will only be one sensor

(A) is your intake camshaft sensor and (B) is your exhaust side camshaft sensor

Looks like that is crankshaft sensor, not camshaft sensor.
