FANTASTIC video! Thanks a lot. I've watched so many other videos on this, and no one has explained it as well as you have here. The close-up video shots were so helpful, but most helpful of all were the little tips you gave along the way, like to not remove the power connector, etc. So many other pro-car channels don't mention things like these, making them useless.

I did not know what to do. I went with the known mechanics. And solve the problem thanks to this video.

Thanks for your vid my friend , obviously most people in here are hard of hearing as you kept saying “ Crank sensor “ a billion times . It’s hard to argue with youtube throlls , they always seem to have a pessimistic way of seeing things , and they are so fixed on it , thus impairing their learning . I have a 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid, I got multiple misfiring on all 4 , my mechanic replaced all spark plugs $90 bucks on plugs , replaced all ignition coil $600 bucks , and car still have the problem . So I need to look into my crank sensor , or cam sensor . Gracias .

It’s also possible that you have low engine compressor check for that as well I have video on my channel how this could be done

There is no greater flex then using a Burberry scarf as a cloth to lay on to fix your vehicle. 💪

camshaft sensor is not the one you pointed to. if you stand in front of the car facing the engine, the sensor is located on the top right of the engine block, and is inside a very tough spot to work on.

u got a misfire code, how did u know the crank shaft sensor was the problem when there was no code pointing to it... my civic is idling like it's gonna die at stop . Clean my injectors , fuel trim is great, took throttle body off and clean it, replace spark plug, no codes when it gets hot it gets worst , only thing keeping my car from dying is turning A.c on .. any ideas? My spark is good also

Perhaps throttle body have to be replaced to brand new on , besides that check air filter and not sure does this vehicle have maf sensor or not...

Clean the MAF SENSOR ! Or replace it ,! search some videos about cleaning it ! I didn't know I could had cleaned before replaced it , but I did to avoid the same issue..

In this particular case, the engine went bad and was replaced on this Honda.

Hi, you had a misfire code initially. Did you do anything else other than replacing the sensor to fix the misfire? Also, did you have a code for the crankshaft sensor?

An air conditioning pressure (ACP) sensor placed in the high pressure side of the A/C refrigerant system for controlling the A/C refrigerant pressure is used by the A/C system.

Just take your time when you do this I used WD-40 silicone lubricant and 90° needle nose pliers and I had the sensor connected as stated in the video just will go back and forth and be patient it will pop out your car is probably older now this video has aged sometime

здорова, двигатель K20A....ACCORD 7...такая проблема, слышен стук, похож на стук пальца (на холодную и на горячую, при этом если хорошо покрутить двигатель (понаваливать) звук пропадает)....в интернете начитался что может и распредвалу хана,, может ли из за него (датчика детонации) так стучать... ошибок по датчику нет....провалов мощности нет...наблюдается неадекватное поведение стрелки тахометра (при сбросе газа она сначала опускается, потом поднимается вверх примерно на 200 rp, и вначале при наборе газа слышен звук дребезжания-детонации что ли) обороты двигателя на прогретом около 900 rp, голову себе ломаю, ответь пожалуйста.

Why there is a code for misfire cylinder number one, engine stalls when first started and you jumped right up to the crankshaft sensor defective conclusion ? are there anything i missed? because i will more likely to check the spark plugs before anything else

Tyson Pham both crankshaft and camshaft sensors determines the position of pistons and valves and sending the signal to main computer brain box ECM ECU of your vehicle... if both or only one of those sensors are defective the engine either will stall, will have misfire or will refuse to start at all...

Tyson Pham I did checked the spark plugs, they was good.... In this case the problem with misfire was solved by replacing 2 ignition coils...

Tyson Pham It's better to bring the vehicle to Honda dealer to run diagnostics test, to found out faulty spark plugs, coils or sensors.. Keep in mind, don't safe on Ignition coils and spark plugs they should be original from Honda or they not gonna work wright..

Hmmm diagnostic tests are used to determined defective O2 sensors and such. the question was why did you decide to change the crank shaft sensor? it could very well be the PCM itself or coils as you said but the video didnt show the part you changed it. Kinda confusing a bit but the video is about guiding to change the crank shaft sensor so fair enough :)

+Tyson Pham I was puzzled as well. I figured if it was crankshaft issue it be a crank no start problem. Personally I would looked that coils packs and plugs. maybe even see if there was some carbon fouling give a idea whats happening on cylinder 1. When I seen him jump to crankshaft sensor I was like how could it be. I am still confused some what but I do know they need to work together Crank and cam shaft sensor. My issue is if it was crankshaft sensor causing the problem wouldn't effect the other cylinders as well.

i didn't get the question...

it's on top... i believe.... this honda have crankshaft sensor on top and camshaft sensor in the bottom.... for example most of the cars like nissan altima have crankshaft sensor in the bottom and camshaft sensor on top

i don't know what Honda recommends... i didn't do any relearn procedure...Car work great after sensor was replaced... try to buy original sensor from Honda.... cause aftermarket OEM sometimes don't work as they suppose to be....

My 2007 civic turns quickly but it starts to die out and won't turn on. My check engine light blinks as well any suggestions?

camshaft position sensor is not the same as crank shaft sensor

depends on the mileage then your engine have on it... just kidding im not sure for 100... but those sensors monitoring position of the flywheel and letting PCM of your vehicle know when to start... maybe a little bit of oil is normal on them...

yes...it can take more then 1 hour cause this sensor is very hard to access... beside crankshaft sensor, it could be, also faulty camshaft sensor, cause those 2 work together to determine position of the engine..

Why would there be an o-ring seal on a dry sensor? No, it is oily for a reason.
