They say that everything they do is constitutional, and that’s part of the problem. I believe there is a process for suing these legislators as individuals, not just in their official capacity, for violating their oath of office, but I’ve never heard of it being used. Maybe it’s time we start using that process to make them think hard before passing blatantly unconstitutional laws.

in my opinion, the 9th will use any excuse to send these cases back to the lower courts to start over.

It appears that 9th Circuit and Vaseline are interchangeable

I remember in 2012 when a lot of this started i expected it to be done by 2016. This is ridiculous. Justice delayed is justice denied.

So awesome that legislators can basically burn the constitution and second amendment with these laws and can just fucking sit in litigation hell forever without any punishment. But hey, maybe my great great great great grandkids will find out if this law gets overturned. Fucking ridiculous.

Rahimi will be decided either this week or next, possibility tomorrow (Thursday June 20).

Why would they wait for the Supreme Court's decision in Rahimi? If it isn't decided they way they want it to, the 9th Circuit still won't abide by the Supreme Court's ruling anyway. There is no punishment for them if they ignore it.

GVR-ing to the Circuit Court after Rahimi assumes that the Circuit Court would take direction from the SCOTUS. They won’t. If they were going to act in good faith, they would have struck down the AWB’s to begin with. Having these cases GVRed just adds more time until the SCOTUS is forced to deal with them. Every day that the SCOTUS fails to take this issue up, further delegitimizes the SCOTUS and the integrity of our legal system.

I think you're too optimistic. More like 2055 when Dems control all States executive and legislative branches. All Circuit Courts. The Presidency, the House, the Senate and SCOTUS. Oh and all dissidents (Non-communists) are in Guantanamo. Don't forget, Guantanamo is a military prison so they'll need the Militaries absolute loyalty and they didn't start working on that until the Obama administration.

We appreciate keeping us informed even if there is slow movement.

I think they're using Rahimi to stall, but there are other cases in IL that would require them to explain how the lower/inferior courts need to use Bruen. The big problem is that Bruen is not being obeyed, plain and simple and the $64k question is whether the SCOTUS will explain how the lower/inferior courts need to analyze it. If the lower/inferior courts didn't use the 2-step, sensitive places, or other BS to infringe our rights, we wouldn't have a problem. But this is something that does need to be decided in the 2023/2024 session next week, IMO. Voter ID ASAP!🗽 (the next way they will f#@$ us)

The decision in Rahimi is only interesting to the 9th if they can see a loophole in it that would justify ruling against the 2A in either Duncan or Miller. Failing that they'll simply ignore the SCOTUS and do what they want. I keep waiting for them to announce they're overturning a SCOTUS decision because they don't like it; they're that arrogant.
