California Dictates Everyone’s Truck Upgrades

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Kory Willis from PPEI joins us today to talk about his EPA case, how California dictates what truck owners can do in Texas, Ohio, Florida, etc., and what the future looks like for tuning. We also ask him a bunch of questions pertaining to emissions we’ve seen on our KZread channel. Don’t miss this one!

Because it really is a laughing hoax. Protection against independent small time transport manufacturing. The current manufacturer says it's the cost of doing business if it means keeping out say, Dino's Rockin Rigs. Because the cost of materials could favor Chinese indie companies. I don't know 100% if that's an immediate thing but Toyota Hino gave up. So there is some proof. Big dog lobbying. I like that. Pay to play.

My truck now burns more fuel and the exhaust temps are 2-300 higher at freeway speed. The idea of following the money trail makes sense. It seems like a lot of government mandated things can be traced back to government officials having an investment in it. There is a lot that doesn't make sense but it seems like such a uphill battle that feels like it's something that can't be fought because the epa and government make up the rules as they go. You can voice your opinion but it just seems like your talk to yourself. This guy really seems to know his stuff on the subject and I can't wait to see him back after his case is over.

Excellent video (with too many commercials). Mr Willis has many excellent points and brings to light many of the problems with one hand of the government not knowing what the other is doing, lack of standardized testing, bureaucratic red tape, enforcement inconsistencies, following the money, and overall government incompetence. This whole enforcement thing is in its infancy but the bottom line is that the EPA wants to set examples and end aftermarket parts that have the potential to change vehicle emissions. There is an uphill battle ahead simply because the majority of vehicle owners and citizens (voters) don't care about racing or modifications to vehicles. What they do care about is when they see black soot belching out of a "monster truck" in front of them while stuck in traffic with their kids in the back seat. Think about that, one moron in a truck with semi-truck exhaust stacks sticking up behind the cab belching out soot and all the cars all around him seeing this display. It is called public perception and to these folks witnessing this idiot's display the EPA is the hero because they are after this guy and the business that sold him the parts. Let's fight the good fight and keep the government in check, but let's also use some common sense and treat others with respect.

Teenagers were the worst and some older idiots that have no respect for others are to blame for most of this because they’re the ones who would draw the most attention to subject. Performance parts were never the issue in my honest opinion, it was the people with absolutely no respect for others blatantly antagonizing liberals on purpose that got us to this situation. Say what you want but that’s what I think started all this. Especially during the Obama years. I’d rather have a clean delete file that has little to no smoke on the initial hit and burn clean at wide open throttle. There’s ways to do it with tuning because I’ve done it with mechanical engines and gain 200hp and burn cleaner than factory specs with better fuel economy. Jus sayin🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks for a great informative episode. To help with the legal fees tell Kory Willis to start a non profit and register with amazon smile. Hell get contributions from almost every amazon purchase and amazon will also match the contributions. Then have your diesels podcast followers set up their amazon smile accounts to donate to his non profit. It’ll help tremendously fight the good fight. You have 23k followers. Imagine the amount that could be raised to help pay for the legal fees. It’s very easy and that’s something FIREARMS POLICY COALITION is currently doing. You should check into it.
