    Too many Madden players out here trying to evaluate in the comments. Acting like "This guy was open" Real life a qb doesnt see the whole field at the same time. You go through reads. So while your 3rd read may be open right away, the play isnt designed for you to look over there til youve gone through your 1st 2 progressions.

  • @lukasseibel2065

    @lukasseibel2065

    It's not about seeing the players being open. It's about being able to cerebrally evaluate how many defenders are in coverage, what kind of coverage they're in, using clues and determining the positioning of every coverage defender, and taking that all into account to calculate who is most likely to be open and move through reads almost instantly by looking at the bigger picture rather than just *see open man throw ball* When a qb is missing an open receiver it's because they didn't read the field and the defense correctly quite simply.

    Go watch the film tho, you'll see Fields consistently looking at an open read and turning it down if the guy isn't Ohio state wide open. See him get to the top of his drop and panic because he reconized he late all the time and missed his read. He doesn't process at NFL speed bottom line.

    @user-ci1ju7mx4y . A lot more than the QB goes into any 1 playoff win or loss in a single elimination tournament. A team has to win consistently in regular season to even have a CHANCE to win in the playoffs. Successful teams understand this. A consistent, reliable QB is a premium. KC has a career 66.9% completion, 270 TD to 110 INT, a passer raring or 98.2 & 7 4000 yard seasons. He gets paid because he produces those types of numbers consistently for teams. What are RG3's career stats?

    You think Caleb Williams can’t play on schedule??? These clips they are showing are HIGHLIGHTS. Watch his 2022 tape when he had a decent receiver. None of his receivers this year will go before round 4 or 5. His O Line was also Swiss cheese, hard to play in structure and on time when you have free rushers all the time.

    While i was watching the 2023 combine, QBs specifically, i noticed something that separated 1 from the rest. Stroud was awesome at making all throws, long, medium, short, slants, out routes, but most importantly, the short out routes & checkdowns. The other QBs did not look good at making those throws. Either the ball was not accurate, off time, or they threw it the same way as throwing a long bomb. That's when i said this is how you know who is NFL ready, how he handles the short throws. Ok the reason why the bears had the number pick was not because they were the worst. It was because the Panthers were. The reason why most of us in Chicago are expecting playoffs is due to the fact Caleb will have far more to work with than Justin Fields ever had. Do I expect CW to be perfect? Absolutely not. However he has tons of weapons/targets that'll get him up to speed a lot quicker. Even Andrew Luck didn't have the players that are available for CW.

Th only thing you need to see for a young rookie QB is the guy being able to focus thru out game of the need to have No Fear of the Pocket. Fear in these QBs shows the ball being thrown away or even running away from an expecting rush of being hit while throwing. This is it and what fans need for their favored choice of the draft.

    It’s a simple decision for Chicago. As a coach you should be aware his read may take him away from a guy or not look his way when he’s open in his progression at that moment. You’re being silly and trying to create a way to find faults.

    If your a qb coach and see a ton of red flags on his game. Which you mentioned 1. Which Caleb had to go for big plays to stay in games. Then your not much of a coach. Caleb is the best qb I've watched on tape in my lifetime

    I knew Carson would question Caleb’s game presnap. He isn’t that good when you see how he processes the field pre snap and why he typically snaps from shotgun. He’s a play maker but like Carson said, “you can’t just make plays” His game does not transfer to the NFL and although I think he has the talent, I think he needs more development when it comes to pre snap reads. He never even snaps from under center which shows more of how he can’t read the field pre snap. If anyone can logically point to how I’m wrong then please do as I want to understand more about being a QB but his play making ability will last only so long in the league. Joe Burrow was absolutely one of the best I’ve ever seen in terms of being nfl ready and haven’t seen anyone since have that. As in, Caleb is not the guy he’s perceived to be. Jayden Daniel’s has proved he can process the field, get through his reads, make plays when he needs to, and played against defenses that would have collapsed Caleb’s game.

    Dude the guy is not special on the field. He missed the WIDE OPEN receiver twice on the same route. 😂 then barely threw it in bound. Not impressed!

    Williams makes 9 amazing plays and then one bad one and fans focus on his 1 bad one lmao. 40 tds to 5 INTs. Bears are going to instantly be better having this kid (CW).

    I agree I’m seeing avg and bad footwork bad at reading I seen rice get open several times this year he held the ball and rolled out same with taj dude had weapons didn’t capitalize to play hero ball nfl will eat him alive you got to understand one thing Washington,Chicago, and New England have bad o lines. You need Daniel’s not another hold the ball and especially his scrambling ability in nfl won’t hold. Fields and Daniels scrambling worked but fields had same issues held ball and misses open players Daniel’s already had two great wr and can hit the middle left and right at mid long and short passes

At the same time Justine was out in a bad situation that went downhill faster than a stock market crash 📉 and no one gave him any sympathy or cared enough to truly help with his development. JF is on a better spot now. CW needs to come out the gate on fire 🔥

    I was actually surprised to see but since 1970 there have been 27 QBs taken. 7 were outright busts and 2 still need more time to determine (Bryce young and Trevor Lawrence). 4 were HOFers and the rest, 14, were solid if not borderline HOFers. I put Eli Manning and Matt Stafford in this list.

    Nothing impresses me about CW he misses all the structured play and likes to get out of the pocket, extend the play, and routes are extended and now it’s free ball. This is Justin fields 2.0 but smaller physically and mentally. Go look at Jayden Daniels a better QB who’s a better pocket passer and can mobile when he needs to be.

    Doesn't he have something like a 70% completion percent when in the pocket? This "can't play within structure" thing people keep on saying really makes me think that they've just seen some highlights, but not any actual drives.

    I watched both his Notre dames games both this year and last year. He consistently misses open routes then extends the play and eventually gives it to the player who was open during his route. Same strengths and weaknesses of Justin Fields but smaller physically and from all these rumors a big ego as well. Usually big egos also crack easy as well. Too me JD shows better QB ability. I only watch one game of his, but he showed better poise in the pocket. Doesn’t panic or has the need to scramble out, because he reads the defense well and knows the routes well. He’s the better structured QB.
