She is capping though about wanting the first pick to be Indiana in the lottery. I bet she wanted it to be LA Sparks because she would earn more money from her endorsements thus improving her brand enormously if she played in the Los Angeles market.

Speak for yourself. I think Coach Dawn Staley and her band of undefeated champions deserve that honor. That is unless you want to differentiate them by race. SC can be Black America's Sweetheart and Caitlin Clark can be White America's Sweetheart. That's pretty much how it's been up to this point

@@Jay-kv9xc She's only been in college for 4 years. Did you listen to the Sheryl Swoopes stuff she said on a podcast? She said that Caitlin was at least 25 and was into her 6th year, so she should have to break records in the same amount of time that the others have. Caitlin surpassed Kelsey Plum's record in less games than what she did, she is a senior to be graduating very soon. She didn't use her COVID year, nothing out of the ordinary. She was ready to move on. When she graduates, she will have at least a 3.6 gpa with a degree in marketing. She would have to go through a few more years of college to get a master's degree. She is an Academic All-American as well as an All-American, first team unanimous basketball player. Last year she won EVERY National Player of the Year among other awards. She's on her way to some of those awards again.

Plus we don't normally get Indiana fever games here in Iowa but now that we have a hometown player we will see more of them and I think that's at least part of the problem with the wnba a lot of the players are not well known or well liked for whatever reason but now that we are getting some extremely talented players that are well known the wnba will get more exposure etc and actually be able to make money rather then bleed it and I think another issue is a lot of people don't even know that the wnba even exists until now etc because it's not widely talked about or televised etc the nba should give up some of it's air time to the wnba until it gets in it's feet and able to stand by itself etc it's crazy

Ms. Clarks’ Gifts and demeanor brought me back to this sport. I was raised in the outskirts of Los Angeles watching the clash of Titans Bird and MJ, then the Jordan era.. since then it was mediocre. I would tune in and watch Kobe and early Lebron , but only the highlights or last game clips at the finals. Then I stumbled upon a highlight reel of a pretty and humble brunette in a Hawkeye jersey, passing like MJ, assisting like Bird and draining shots from the parking lot like Curry on his best night. I thanked almighty God that moment for the gift he gave us ,of the splendor of hardwork and a dream in Caitlin Clark. There is hope in basketball and I am blessed to be alive to see it. Go Fever!! 🤒🙏🥰 Hawai’i is Watching.

We know why that's the case. You don't have to elaborate. Talent is abundant in women's BB. You wouldn't know that because the media doesn't push the narrative of plurality of talent. They have to push a certain face for that narrative. Paige Bueckers said it best in her 2021 ESPY'S speech

@1lovisions355 The bigger question is what were the motives of these bandwagon fans? Did most do it solely because she's White? If so,how will that translate to more viewership for the current NCAA women when these bandwagon fans no longer have a Great White Hope to cheer for in college and then lose interest in the sport? That's not benefiting any of the current players. Go watch Paige Bueckers 2021 speech at the ESPY'S and see how it's contextualized with the current CC sensationalization. I'm not hating on Clark. I'm just pointing out what many are aware of but afraid to admit. Paige said it best in her speech and as a White woman herself she showed great courage calling a spade a spade. Don't take my word for it. Listen to Paige's speech...

Has Caitlin moved the needle ? So here's a thing, I've never watched basketball in my life, let alone women's. Other than MJ, LeBron and Kobi I couldn't name another basketball player, Anyway, I'm from Scotland, ride bikes and play golf and since hearing about Caitlin watching the Masters at the weekend I've now watched numerous CC videos, watched her SNL clip and now watching her presser. Yes she's moved the needle and talks incredibly well.

Class act Professional, always giving accolades to others. Especially those who let her be herself which compliments her game. It's nice to have someone so wholesome and none of that Ghetto attitude but still a competitive edge on the court. Someone who's happy to be doing what they're doing and no whining about what they don't have or aren't getting. A successful attitude period.
