    Vanloo just would not keep her hands off of CC. Referees were a no show. CC constantly pushed Vanloo off her. Pushed Vanloo to the floor and the referees ignored it. That was third game Vanloo played CC aggressively. Those are all fouls by Vanloo. Even CC pushing Vanloo to the ground is a foul. These referees were really bad today.

    Yeah the refs put themselves in a box when they don’t call a foul on Vanloo when she’s fouling, Clark pushes off in response and they can’t really call that if you let the defense get away with all the physicality. Then randomly they’ll start making calls for a few minutes. Then stop. It’s gotta be bewildering as a player. At least let me know what you’re gonna call and keep it consistent.

    Caitlin may be competitive and a little “extra” on the court in the heat of the game but by all accounts, she’s a good person. That’s important to remember for all those hating on her for stuff like this. Her Fever teammates seem to have taken a liking to her much like the ones at Iowa did and that only happens if she’s easy to get a long with and a decent person.

    @Jaime-l5s20 күн бұрын

    Hi Robin, I enjoy your channel because you give fair takes. However, I think you are missing the bigger picture. What we are seeing in the microcosm of basketball reflects our society. Even though you personally don’t have issue with what Carrington did, the media stoked the flames to view what she did as negative towards CC when it was just basketball. Then the majority of people came after her with such hatred. Even Skip Bayless said it was mean. The Sun won that game too and Carrrington played so well against CC but that’s all they reported on (ESPN for example). Now, CC does the same thing and barely a peep from big media. They only report on her positives. The double standard in the media is unreal and I think it’s a real problem. Black women are stereotyped as being overly aggressive and the media plays to that. I believe that is one reason why so many CC fans don’t like the WNBA. They are looking at it through the lens of stereotypes that are being sensationalized by the media. Caitlin also pushed Vanloo about 3 times today! She also pushed a girl in college to the ground which was almost comparable to what Chennedy Carter did to her. Not a basketball play. Caitlin has a temper and I’m not knocking her for it! But when it shows she’s said to be competitive, it’s praised or ignored. Going back to the original “You can’t see me” which brought Angel & Caitlin to mainstream America. The double standard was in full effect. As a journalist I would love for you to really dig into this topic. It’s very deep rooted and I understand why Carrington expressed herself on Twitter. If she doesn’t stand up and confront it in public who will? She studied African American studies as one of her majors at Stanford. She’s speaking to a larger societal issues that transcend basketball. It would be interesting if someone would actually interview her. She’s very intelligent. To add, when she called out Caitlin for not speaking out it was in response to the first interview where she said she doesn’t focus on it. After Carrington tweeted, her PR team had her run that back! So the second interview is when she said she didn’t support people using her name for ill agendas.

    @@dalebarnard1007 Thanks for the reply. I also saw the video where Haley Van Lith straightened it out. However, that interview was about 3 months later. Everyone already showed their bias by then and Angel was the villain based off of the interaction. Also, I think what Chennedy Carter did was totally unnecessary and wrong. I was comparing that to what CC did in college to a player on the Purdue Fort Wayne team. She really pushed that girl hard! An intentional foul was called. My point is Caitlin is no saint and has a temper. But many of her fans see her as a victim like this delicate flower.

If Miss Carrington wants to engage into political activism after “office hours” I have no problem with that. We all know by now that Caitlin Clark has no interest for that. I find it rather annoying to see Miss Carrington push the issue in an effort to get Caitlin Clark to take a stance on questions of interest for Miss Carrington.

    Because she lied and said she wasn't aware of it. Maybe you believe she--and everyone close to her--live in a vacuum but I can assure you they don't. When Carrington called her out, she immediately did what she should have in the first place. Look at what Reese did for T-spoon this week. She basically said she didn't want to hear no talk about hating on her coach. Has CC ever done that for Sides or her teammates? No, and I'm not talking about the obligatory press conferences after the game. I mean when her fans attack her team. Of course, she probably isn't aware of it, right? When a player's fans attack a player's team like CC's do, that player needs to speak up because like it or not, they're doing it in her name. And as your video shows, CC isn't the perfect little angel anymore then the rest of the players.

The officiating all year has been inconsistent and the league has done very little to address it and wont as long as the seats are full. The fever have no one to blame but themselves for the loss. Defense stunk. Support from the bench was nonexistent. Bench shoots 3-16(18%) from 3point. Wont win with that. None of this was because of CC- she had a very respectable effort. Sides cant blame this on CC nor should CC coach for her. Give them credit for last minute effort but too little and too late.

  • @basilfawlty241

    Haha. There is more to it than nothing. It's a distraction. Anything they can use to take the focus off the padded, should be asterisked, double-double streak. Twice now, she has been given stats in garbage time. The first time it was a loss, so everyone kinda glassed over it. Today, though, just classless. Some people will, because of her past actions, suggest this should be expected from her. Reputations get made, and do follow. Not to mention the 9 rebound game that was credited as 10. Why won't any of you media journalist ask Parker how she feels about 'THE STREAK' in regard to the Lynx, Storm, and now the Dream. Perhaps Parker feels a bit like Lynette Woodard does about her scoring record. Do ya really own the record if the opponent is given up free points in garbage time? Do ya really own the record if you only had 9 rebounds, but the stat trackers make an error? I mean, at what point does this record become equivalent to a WWF championship run? (yes I spelled that right :)
