I’m home with my nine year old for the next three weeks. The hardest part is helping him understand why his whole routine has gone up in smoke. He has autism and nonverbal, so there is an adjustment. We can’t go out much because I am the one with a compromised immune system. I’ve now become a homeschooling mom. This is going to be one adventure for him and me to add to the books, it’s gonna be interesting!

I walked down the aisle to "River Flows In You". I fell in love with it the second I heard it! It also has a tie to my late grandpa. Love listening to your relationship advice and watching Drew grow (our youngest is just a few weeks behind her). Take care!

You guys have such great energy, which is especially welcomed during this crazy C-virus time. There is so many fear mongers out there that you guys are always a go-to for me : )

I do 2,000 piece puzzles in about 10 days. It isnt constant working on them, but a few hours a day at least. God Bless you all through this rough time.

So I have just recently learned about this podcast and have spent the last few days listening to it while I'm at work and catching up (The East Fam Podcast is next!). I am so glad that I did. I enjoy every minute of it and the lessons you are teaching us, whether it is about the love languages or just being nice to each other and learning how to balance the good with the bad. However, I just had to say, after Andrew repeatedly reminding us that we can listen to this at increased speed, I tried it just now and I can't stop giggling long enough to listen to the message, so I'll stick with normal, or Shawn speed :D Now, back to our regularly scheduled program. Thank you for being the wholesome, wonderful people that you are, and for sharing that with the world.

It’s been super warm and sunny here in SC, so the kids get to run off steam and I’m getting a tan! But in all seriousness, I’m enjoying this time to rediscover family time and getting closer to the Lord!

Love you guys and really enjoy watching. I take care of my 87 year old grantparents 3 days a week it's scary. I'm so terrified of carrying something to them so I have been being super careful but just having to get out and run to the store for them its scary out there. I totally agree with not hoarding. People should get what they need. If people would continue to get just what they need then we will all have enough. People should share and help each other out. Ive been trying to find toilet paper and there is none to be found but we have coffee filters lol ....This too shall pass. We will all be ok. God bless you 2 and baby Drew all you do for everyone

Hey guys, I watch you guys in the evening ... I need to block the blue light overexposure... what is the best blue light blocker glasses in your opinion?

I’ve been using the time at home to clean out areas that have been ignored for a time because of being too busy. The one thing I really dislike about not being able to go out: I have twin great granddaughters (born February 22) that I haven’t got to see in person. I want to see them and hold them so bad but I’m afraid that I could be a carrier of the virus and they are so tiny and vulnerable. So, I am waiting till things calm down and looking forward to the time I can cuddle them! Love you guys! BTW I’m an Iowa girl, Shawn! My sister-in-law was a substitute teacher at Valley West when you were in high school!

I'm an urgent care doctor and my four year old son, Canaan, has cystic fibrosis. I am so thankful to have something to take my mind off of all of the stress/worry. We still don't have proper protective equipment or testing. Seeing you guys set an example of social distancing and helping others tolerate it is such an encouragement to me. THANK YOU :)

I'm a stay at home mom with dad deployed with the Navy right now in Japan. Come home dates have been extended and we are looking at an additional two-week quarantine when he does get home. I would love it if you guys would do some follow-along workouts or Shawn please do some quick busy mommy workouts. You guys are the best have a great week.

So, my boyfriend and I still have to work days and weekends during this quarantine. But an idea that I've come up with since right now our lives are a bit hectic and crazy, is I'm going to have us write love letters to one another. Maybe others in quarantine can do this as well!!

A little pumping trick so you don't have to wash so many parts...after pumping, rinse out the shields/parts with water, put in a plastic bag and store in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours. Game changer!

Oh my gosh, help a dummy out please. It’s been 15 years since i was breastfeeding and pumping. The options are COMPLETELY different (and better!) nowadays. Please tell me what the long version of washing all the parts would be. Just reading the comment it sounds like only wash these two parts and forget the rest. But I know I’m missing something and I am truly curious. I miss nursing!!

I don't have kids but have heard you can store pump parts in the fridge between sessions. So you don't have to wash inbetween each time or have lots of parts to wash. You can just wash one set at the end of the day.

Dollar store has puzzles. Small but you can buy 20! Andrew could do your full make-up. Clean out your linen closet and get rid of the 1,000 towels and sheets you don’t use! Goodwill. Love to always stay home so no big deal. I Quilt for charity. Need to paint laundry rm, hang a shelf, paint a chest of drawers and file cabinet I have in there for storage. I have all matching storage bin to put my tools and painting stuff. I do my own finger and toe nails. Did the husbands finger and toe nail, clippers. I cut his hair like always.

I’m in Australia and they have not suggested anyone should self quarantine. It’s life as normal but told to put social distance ourselves in public. Schools are still running as normal, Which to me is so frustrating. I have self isolated myself, luckily I am in a position to do that.

Get the jigsaw puzzle app. I have been doing 3-4 puzzles every day.

I found that it has been difficult to start a relationship I’m this time. A man and I had started talking 3 weeks before this really hit our state. We went on three dates before the virus got serious. Plus, I am in the high risk category so he and I are both very worried about me getting sick. It just makes this quarantine time very hard. But, he has been so amazing as to reach out and keep in contact. This time has brought fear and anxiety into my life. Yet, I have realized that this man has brought a lot of peace and happiness into my life. That other men have lacked to bring. This has made me realize that this time has given me insight into him and has shown me what he is all about

On the pumping parts, I'm sure it's not medically approved, but I would just rinse mine with water and store them in a sterile bag in the fridge between pumpings for the day. I figured if it's good enough for the milk to be stored in fridge, it's good enough for the milking hardware. Both my kids survived this method just fine. Not revolutionary but those things are hard and annoying to clean!

Spending time with baby drew would be nice to take away the quarantine feeling

To me this is almost like being at the cottage (My cottage has no power) so I'm used to playing games, knitting/crochet, and puzzles since I can only do so much internet or tv but even then it's been day 4 (even though I had one shift at work, and it was completely dead).....so I'm already going nuts lol

I know a woman who’s son is a Marine and he’s stationed somewhere across the globe, and she said he told her he got the Corona Virus last year, and it’s like the flu........... Meaning, you have a few days of feeing like crap, and then you get well. He IS a 20 year old healthy and physically fit Marine too! It gave me hope though that we can do this!!!!!

Hello East Fam, I’m from Lamont California. I’m an employee at a school and we recently got shut down. Due to being a substitute teacher I will not be getting paid during this time because I’m not considered a regular employee. Its frustrating because I’m also not eligible for unemployment. This job was my only source of income. Unfortunately do not know if I will be able to pay upcoming bills. Gonna try looking for a job, but don’t think I’ll have much luck since everything in town is closedown.

Have you experienced everyone panic shopping at the grocery stores?? Crazy!!

I'm a mom of 3 girls, my 4 month old was born a week before Drew. All the stores around us have been sold out in diapers and wipes and she has 1 pack left. I dont drive so its hard to get to a store. If you have a connection for diapers, even if I can buy just 1 pack I would greatly appreciate it!!

Offering a perspective I’m not hearing yet: I’ve been working from home for several years already, so my world hasn’t really changed. I have 14 and 17 yo sons who are self-sufficient and I’m not concerning myself with school work until the school tells me if and what I should be doing. So I’ve been watching SOOOOOO many videos about what to do while quarantined and all I can think is “damn, I wish I had time to deep clean my house and do this or that!” But I’m still living my same life with my same schedule of virtual meetings with people across the globe. Though it is interesting to get to hear first hand accounts from people around the world. I’m not complaining; I’ve actually been training for this event for years! I am completely fine isolating and social distancing is easy when you rarely leave the house anyway. I just have my usual troubles of getting my not-friends cats to social-distance! 😹 As I said, this is not a complaint nor criticism about anyone nor anything. Just a perspective I haven’t yet seen expressed. 😷💗
