@@NarodowySchab It's absolutely realtime. Longplays always are and also this is about the same time it takes for me to play Bruce Lee through. Also note that it's his second round completing the game (so the first 10 minutes or so of gameplay are cut) evidenced by having 68k points in the beginning and also the room at 8:00 is more difficult than on the first round.

@@blondieresource767 further evidence is that the green sumo appears instantly and is even higher difficulty than his easier version. he attacks much faster.

The part i loved was that, if you plugged in a 2nd joystick, Player 2 could play as the bizarre Green guy. Great memories!

As a kid, I was always unsure how to play the green guy. You could use him to help player 1 or you could attack player 1 so you can get your turn faster

As the green guy, I always supported my brother against that swordsman while he played as Bruce.

This was one of the first games I had for my C64. I had the cassette version, which took TWENTY TWO minutes to load. But totally worth the wait.

So many memories playing this as a very young kid.....Those were the days...

I haven't played this game in about 20 years... but I remember every single bit of it from when to time movement, to when the AI enemies kill themselves on various things

Load Runner I even liked better....

one of my favorite games. And impressive for that time to have a 2P function in it as well where player 2 can play as the green giant :D

Finally, I saw all the levels! After all these years...

One of the most fun games I've ever played, a lot of C64 actually, just a fun gaming computer

I love how the main purpose of your enemies were comic relief.

you can collect the free life 9 times, just go off the screen and come back again and again....

With me it was just five times. There's been a remake done of it where it's one 1UP per "round", but...that version, things do not get tougher, and certain sounds are missing. In the C64 version, Round 2 is where things go to max hardness....enemies respawn instantly, and the "Electrified Comb Room" has ZERO safe spots.

we nailed this like 28 or so years ago

2:35 onwards was the reason I enjoyed this game so much. I never got tired of blowing up the baddies on mines.

My brother and I played this CONSTANTLY in the 1980's. Even though the graphics are a bit primitive, from a design standpoint, they are a work of art!

Now doing the part in 8:02 is just a cakewalk. Back then this was almost impossible for me to time up and synchronize the time falling down with the electric charges. This part was ahead of its time.

Thanks for sharing. This was one of my favourite games. The game was frozen always at the same part, close to the end, so I never had the chance to see how much was left. But now I see, I was not that bad :)

Definitely one of the better games. Pretty sure a second player could control the bad guys in this game? I seem to remember having fun with my brother while playing it.

Wow, that was a good game. I remember that this 8bit ninja always scared me to hell back then.

I played this as a child and I remember clearly that I had no idea what the f*** all those strange pixels were supposed to mean.

My favorite game for the C64. The twoplayer mode was fun as well. Remember the endscreen was the first time I encountered the word "congratulations". Looked it up and learned a word that day :-)

Loved this game as a kid. I was great, I played it over and over, but I'd say you are slightly better :-)

7:56 Wow, they got through the second playthrough mode version of this room. I never could clear it. You have to not only have the timing of Bruce's controls perfect but also carefully time your rather slow falls as not to drop directly on a death beam.

This "Wizard" WAS the easiest final boss, but lost to a the beating heart thingy at the end of Operation C on the Game Boy, (the goldfish at the end of the Tube Race level in Earthworm Jim don't count as it isn't a FINAL boss)

Great game, I play it for 35 years on C64 (with Trainer) I made so much fun. Great gameplay. And very fast👍

yeah.. i laughed out loud just now, watching bruce give that ninja a punch right on the nose that sent him flying backwards right into a mine - that blew him to smithereens.

I used to LOVE this game!!!

All those jitte and chinese swords everywhere, and flying blades...Bruce was a badass to dodge it all. All with an immortal Yamo and an endless supply of ninja chasing him.

I used to love how the ninja would come running right at you and all you had to do hold the button down, he'd run right into your punches three times and fall.

Haha. Yeah. I remember getting to it and just blazing it without thinking and got to the end. :) This game was crazy hard to me as a kid and that room really threw me off.

7:57 Hardest room. Timing had to be perfect. 8:54 Second hardest room. Again, timing was important.

The extra life thing (7:33) can be done at least 6-7 times in order to boost up the player lives number. Just came back to me when seeing this vid.

Once I got good at beating this, there was never ending fun to be had playing against my brothers, even if some areas all you could do is stand there and yawn over and over as the sumo.

the green fat guy scream was more bad-ass in the atari 800 version!!

Filmnstuff should review this!

I remember a bug where if you jumped to a particular spot Bruce would get stuck doing some kind of jig in mid air and the game would freeze

I want a full construction of this game in Unreal engine 5.1 with current graphics with extended game play of the classical platforming scheme.

i would love a modern update to this classic game (i know there is ultimate bruce lee which is awesome btw ;-). would love to be able to play this online with 2 other people controlling the other characters.that would be perfect :-)

I noticed you started this at the second "round"......where bad guys immediately respawn when killed, and there's literally NO SAFE SPOT TO STAND in the ELECTRIFIED COMB ROOM (you know what place I'm talking about, eh?)

I luved the multiplayer co op when you could be the buddah or ninja and assist bruce lee. My bro used to get pissed off because there was no friendly fire.

as i was a kid, i thought: if half naked guy is the bruce lee, the black is ninja, then green must be bolo young. i played it many months in a row 20 years ago...

Green guy's name in the game was Yamo. That statue of the horned pig on the top level my brothers and I always called 'Yamo's Mama' :P

This game is almost as great as the kungfu legend himself. Whaataa! whoaaa! Even now, this is better than the Xbox version in terms of gameplay

I'm not sure if the C64 version was different, but in the Atari version the second player took control of the green guy. If you didn't move him after a few seconds the computer would take over control of him. I remember having arguments with my brother because the computer would take over control and kick him off a ledge when he wasn't expecting it lol.

When things were much better, when there was variety in games, although didnt look the best. Pitstop 2 good 2 player as well Now the graphics are much better, but all the games are the same 42, but blessed I grew up without facebook, instagram etc.

Rune Nilssen I think 5 yrs is long enough for you to wait for a reply :) Think this was on medium difficulty. Not sure what easy was (maybe no bad guys). Hard was the green booger guy could go up ladders to follow you. Made it tougher for sure.

By the way, I think the guy's name is Ron Fortier, not Ron Frontier.

@BorysBe haha that's just what i was thinking. I spent countless hours trying to beat it and always thought i got close. Now i realize i only made it about half way through haha.

You could play the green guy with a second joystick if I remember correctly. Which was fun multi-player or cheating when playing alone.

The final boss reminds me of Vanguard. Easy as hell to beat him LOL

If you had 2 joysticks, the other person could jump in and play the black ninja!

I was damn good at this game. Pissed a couple of my friends off by constantly killing them on it.

Yes it is. You're playing as a Green Yamo, which makes life a lot easier.

The Emperor at the end was a big letdown. All you had to do was high tail it full speed to press the button and destroy him. Virtually no effort put into him.

The green guy was something like a sumo-wrestler or so I think. however this game had really absolutly nothing to do with the Bruce lee movies *laughs* And I am sure Bruce Lee would have NEVER EVER given his name for that. Even though it was fun to play back then. If you would try to make a Bruce Lee game in todays times I guess it would look somehow like Sleeping dogs.

loved to let the ninja chase me over the fires which went off a second after you passed them by the way, isn't Bruce Lee a little bit too YELLOW here? today this would be considered racist

mostly easy game
