Hi friends, you can choose all purpose flour or cake flour to make cake. If you choose cake flour to make this cake, the texture of the cake will be relatively denser. Cake flour is more delicate than all purpose flour, can try to make, for every 1 cup of all purpose flour remove 2 Tbsp of flour, and replace 2 Tbsp of that with cornstarch. This recipe no need baking powder, the whipped egg whites would be the leavening agent. Happy Baking

Indeed...no need baking powder when you use whisked egg white. But mixing them together is not always equally easy in the beginning. Now I learn your technic thoroughly and happy with the results.💐

@@noonmoom7251 me too 😂 I just tried out this recipe but without lemon cuz I couldn't find any and I think it's fine. The cake is very light but a bit sweet for me eventho I slightly reduced the sugar to a total of 90g only. Happy baking! :)

@@annaheya2109 We already have the meringue , which is itself enough to rise up the cake . So no baking powder is necessery when having this step . Its also ( the beaten eggs ) to make the cake fluffier and moist ..... Hope this helped a little BUTTER 💛 BTS 💛 ARMY
