Bus Camping In The Rain

A basic camping trip to dust the cobwebs off the bus. First one of the year! I experimented with a little awning and had a relaxing night watching the hockey game. Nothing too exciting this week, but I've had to stay close to home to get people paid designs to workers at the house.

SPOILER - I had an issue with the SD card and there is a missing scene in this video. Looking at a dual SD card camera for the future. It could have been worse I suppose. Cheers everyone!

Panasonic GH5 isn't a bad choice, dual SD and lots of them going second hand these days if you want to save a Canadian kopek or two. You would have to get lenses and all that though. They have a degree of weatherproofing along with some of the lenses that you can get for it too, which would be good for all the stuff you get up to!

Steve, the world is a really messed up place. After watching tragedy after tragedy unfold on the news, I really look forward to getting away from it all and hopping on your channel to watch your latest shenanigans. No politics, no drama, no hate and discontent, no sadness.. you truly are a bright spot in this dark dark world.

Stop watching the news, idiot. That’s exactly how they want you to feel, to be scared and make stupid decisions out of emotion. If youre talking about the shootings, yes, it was a tragedy but since then thousands have died from medical malpractices, car crashes, drug overdose and hundreds by suicide. Stop reacting to “spectacles”.

Hey Steve, next time you do corn on the cob just put them directly on the grill unshucked. Turn a third every 4 or 5 minutes, they turn out perfect and the shuck comes right off. My 92 year old Moms favorite way to do them.

I tried to convert a minivan but found it was too small and so was a pickup box but your idea of converting a school bus is perfect and the space leaves room for a small fire stove or oil furnace or even both! Lots of storage and a diesel engine…. I’m convinced that this is the best way to go! Thanks👌👍🇨🇦😃

We tried magnets with our tarp and bus too, but no matter how strong a magnet you use or how many the tarp ends up providing enough leverage in wind or rain to pull them off. We ended up using D-rings attached to the bus with well nuts, carabiner clips and a heavy duty tarp did the trick. Lots of tie outs are a must on windy days. Keep a set of telescoping poles too for emergencies. Also get yourself a 30amp plug to 120 adapter. $10 and it's worth every penny.

No matter how my day is going I know that Camping with Steve can help me return to a peaceful place and help focus what's important in life. EDIT: "Camping in this school bus is the opposite of crippling anxiety." Being along for the experience has a similar effect.
