As someone with a split personality, I also approve this message.
People would do the seesaw motion because knees over toes was a no no at the time. Great advice as usual. Remember to inhale to expand laterally and brace your core😊

No we do it to make it bias the glutes/hamstring and hip loading mechanics. The form all depends on how you program it. For sprinter I load it up to get the body strong from that position to get out of the blocks, the way he show I also use to program for vertical jump. Since quads is responsible for knee extension. So the further the knee has to extend the better the results.
You're the best, your tips and pointers are Fantastic thank you!
As someone who suffers from hyper mobility this clip, matter fact this channel, is literally GOLD. Thank you so much !!!!🎉
The sitting stance length trick is so helpful thank you!!!!
I never do these because I mess it up 100% of the time. Thanks to you I just got them right like magic. Fantastic content here

Best tip I've seen on these type of squats.
I've always hated the bulgarian split squat, but now I have to do it as part of a progression for pistol squats. I am glad I found this before I start so I can get it right from the onset 💪🏽❤
I love this channel. simple and effective
Quick, easy to follow, incredibly helpful, thank you !!🤙🏼

Why iam a beginner tomorow am going to do it how about this routine Bulgarian Split Squats (3 sets of 8-10 reps per leg).
If I could like twice I would,I needed this exact video. This is my favourite channel on KZread at the moment
Thank you so much for this. I've been looking for a tutorial on the Bulgarian split squat for months. This gave me the info I needed
Love all your video, learned a lot from each of subject, continue to do what you doing, it's helpful !! thank you !

I had this issue Try single leg touch down Improve ankle mobility
Ive been lifting on an off for years. Ive always worked legs reluctantly or found ways to get around the bread and butter movement. Always had stiff mobility in my legs. Found this channel.abour a year ago or so. When i first got back to squatting, i could barely get 135 for 3 or 4 reps. After a year of real work and applying EVERY tip this channel provided that was relevant to me has me now being able to pause squat 315. This channel is golden.
I think last time she was here her glutes were asleep. Hopefully its awake now
Thank you so much for showing the right technique. What a huge difference!
This was perfect 👍🏽
I did these as the final exercise at the end of a hard leg day when my legs were spent, 1st rep banged my knee hard on the floor, so I've been reluctant to try them again.
I've been working on this one a while and needed these tips
Thanks. Was able to use these tips this morning for set up and stability.
I always had trouble w/this exercise & this finally helped me figure it out. THANK YOU!
Thank you for advice! I was doing Bulgarian squats yesterday, and I was struggling with my legs position. For one leg it was easier, the other one was constantly not convenient and not comfortable. Next time I'll follow your advice!
Thanks for the tips! I was thinking that my stance was too wrong because it was narrow but after watching this and trying it, it shows me a bigger difference!
This video is going to save me a lot of time in correcting what I might do naturally, which would be a mistake. Many thanks!
Her the whole video 🗿
back foot in a sling makes the exercises even more awesome.
This workout will never let you down
The holy grail of Bulgarian! Best thing that's happened on KZread
Thank you for the demo, now I know the correct form.
You are the best bro. Thank you
but for me, i feel more in my glutes if i do a wider stance and my quads if i do a narrower stance, so i think it depends on what im training that day

Same, I was looking through the comments trying to figure why having the same stance every time is important, cause I feel like it's beneficial to do through multiple stance varieties.

On another short of him talking about bulgarian split form and stance width, he mentions this very thing. Wide is more glutes, narrow is more quads
Yo this was SO helpful??? Thank you!
This is great! Just would like to know how high up should the bench be for my back leg, the normal benches at my gym are way too high so I always have to improvise with random equipment
Now that is a funny thumbnail sir!😂
Good to know! Thank you so much for this shorts video!
Having a longer stance is useful if you’re trying to deepen your range of motion for things like the front splits
Dude! This video is what I needed.
Thanks a lot, i love your explications
thank you, I've been doing the Bulgarian squat for a week or 2 and I didn't know that going backwards was a bad thing thanks to your video now I know how preform the squat with good form

Great video, thanks for the tips!
As a Bulgarian could say Well explained 😉
I love this channel.
Straight down for quads, hinge and seesaw for glutes. Not wrong or right, different muscle targets.
Omg. This is really helpful. Damn I did it perfectly for the first time ever
Excellent explainer
Thank you!
You guys are the best!!!
Thank you, I don't want pain, so thx, you got a new sub thes Keep the tips coming it appreciated 😊
Legend 💪 thanks for this❤
This is super helpful
Masterful!
Thanks for the tips!
this workout highlights the massive disparity in my legs. Its so much harder on my right leg. I realized I do the sea-saw motion on my right, I do it subconsciously
Thanks you I was actually about to include these in my new routine. I probably would have done it to long haha
My vertigo prevents me from performing Bulgarian Split Squats
Had a “personal trainer” go up to me in the gym one time when I was minding my own business and was doing Bulgarians after watching these videos. Mans was telling me to go as far as I could with my stance ☠️
The stepout from the bench is a neat trick. As for the shifting "keep you nose above your knee"
I’ve got a standing desk at work and using my chair, you learn real fast to not seesaw with a rolling chair.
I actually do them with a very long stance specifically because I play a sport that requires a significant amount of very deep lunges so it's more important to build strength in the hamstring/glute insertion than the glute itself.
I would’ve been screaming after the first one 😊
Did these today, worked up to 2x60kg dumbbells. Managed 3 reps each leg) Not bad for a 48 yo just returned to the gym this year
I love these!!!! They def helped me get more lower body into shape
I needed this
This is great info thank you

I fucking hate and love this exercise at the same time

Getting your balance is harder than the squat itself 😂that back foot be all over the place
OMG thank you lol. I feel stupid trying to set up for these im usually in a corner hopeing nobody seems me
My biggest problem for Bulgarian split squat is that each side felt differently, like one felt more on quad and other more on glutes 😅
