Looks good, Probably too steep but you could add an adjustable leg on the base to change angle depending on what you are screening and or the angle of the ground you are set up on. You could load from the other side allowing more of the screen to be used as you would be able to load closer to the top. The load would also then be entering at approx 90 degrees to the screen were as you're load is traveling parallel to the screen. More screen time should mean more separation

Great work on the screener Dave! I could waste a lot of time running my hand through screened topsoil! 🤣 There's just something about it. It's funny how a lot of folks go directly to making something out of metal, and don't factor in wood. You've proved here that a quality build (if not abused) works just fine. I'm going to hit that like button, and subscribe. I look forward to staying in touch! Take care, and enjoy the 4th! - Samuel

Thank you !! Gota love the dirt. Funny I did buy a welder but have not had time to spend getting it going and learning how it operates. Plus the cost of building out of steel is quite a bit more than the scrap rough cut I had lol. Thanks for watching !!

@@Summitoutdoorproductions I took welding in highschool, and went out and bought a SMAW, but haven't taken the time to freshen up. The time is never convenient. 😅 - Samuel

@@TheTennesseeFrontier haha I did also. We had a class called AG back in the day. It’s been awhile but just need to fire it up. Bought a bobcat 250 portable welder with a 20 Hp Kohler engine. Prob do a video of it soon. It’s old but very few hrs on it.

@@Summitoutdoorproductions my buddy Milton has a bobcat 250 that he really likes. Probably the same engine. He was a mechanic in the oil field, and it hasn't failed him yet! You're a blessed man to have it. 👍 - Samuel

sorry didn't realise it was getting used in just 1 location so no need to adjust angle for different locations and loading from other side might smash your headlights bonnet windscreen etc if in rough ground

Nice build! I made a similar, with finer mesh. Try to tip from the other side.

Commenting before I've seen it work but as it is if you had put the continuous runs on the underside and the raised runs going horizontal it would be much more effective the dirt would tumble over those little raised horizontal runs and calls a sifting action on its own

Interesting, seems to work pretty good but yeah maybe that would be another way to look at it. Always good to get another point of view. Thanks 👍🏻 Funny I think I did contemplate putting the screen on the other way upside down from the way I put it.
