Looks great
Mean while i got mine right now on car ramps that are mounted on cinder blocks just to get the height 😂
@@__Gus_ lol. Been there
That’s tough grass for that. If I absolutely had to use the Zero Turn I’d have to do the double cut with the deck all the way up for first pass, then all the way down for second. But in reality, I use the 15’ Bush Hog. I have cut grass like that using a Kubota ZD323.
Yeah had a small patch to do rather than hauling out the tractor we had this mower on hand. The 1511 is 31hp turbo charged and fully capable of cutting tall grass. Don’t really like the rear discharge though. We demoed this machine. Our Kubota zds are side discharge. Thanks for watching ! Dave.
@@Summitoutdoorproductions Why didn't you like the rear discharge?
@@blessed7fold discharge out the rear was horrible. Left clumps all over even when cutting short grass.
@@Summitoutdoorproductions Thanks for your reply. You just saved me from making a $25K mistake.
@@blessed7foldoh boy. Yeah I suggest a demo to anyone considering rear discharge. We love ours with the side discharge. Thanks. Dave.
Is this the 13 inch?
16”
That’s cool!
Road trip to one of our favorite parks in NY. Water falls galore. Even better place to visit in the fall. If you have a chance to go we recommend. Long video to come later. Thanks for watching Summit Outdoors.
Lots of hay off this small field. I think I counted close to thirty round bales. Fun to watch the process.
Nice job! 😊
Thanks! 😄
Tidy job! The Bobcat track loaders are pretty amazing, wait until you try lifting something like a concrete lock block, it's pretty cool how easily they can just hoist and carry something so heavy...
Thank you. I am loving the t62. Funny you said something about the concrete blocks, we are wanting to build some bunkers for topsoil and mulch and plan on lifting, doing with the machine. Dave
@@Summitoutdoorproductions You'll of course shoot footage?
@@reganmorben9248 haha you bet !!
Just spreading some limestone on an existing driveway to dress it up and keep tires out of the mud. Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing !!
Nice beard!
A nice one for sure 👍🏻
What is the white material above the furring strips on the ceiling?
It’s called double bubble I believe. Like bubble wrap. To stop the moisture from dripping on ya from the Tin roof. Has a little insulation factor as well helps hold heat in, Dave
@@Summitoutdoorproductions I'll have to see if I can find some of that.
It is a nice looking vehicle. But not for that price.
Oh yeah she’s pricy. Fun to look at though.
70k for a 30k vehicle. Gosh people forget the thing between their ears is needed.
$70k 😂😂😂😂 gfym
Good job!
Thanks!
No copper coat treatment on end cuts Nosing missing on treads. No joist tape. Please invest in a kneeling pad. Do you really have to mark the 45 before cutting with your chop saw?? Riser height from last platform to catwalk is not the same as the rest. Code officials in my area would fail all of this 😮
thanks
You're welcome!
Some good videos from the summer thus far. First year ever keeping the cameras out all summer. Thanks for watching and liking and also please subscribe if you haven’t. Dave
Gota love the days of summer when you can smell a fresh cut hay field. Takes me back to when I was a kid making a few buck on the neighbors farm !! The Millers and there beautiful farm will always be in my heart.
Summer is here. Time to have some fun in between all hard work we all put in !! Have a great summer friends ✌🏻
did you have to do the walk around with a weed Wacker?
Nice vibe......feelin it spiritually.... free at last !!!!
Haha. Yes. Exactly !!
Great video, thanks for sharing. Every summer I want to trade my open station tractor for a cab one.... have a 50HP M5040 with 7' pull type vrush hog, thinking about copying your setup. I had no idea there was a 7' 3 point brush hog until I found your video.
You’re welcome glad you liked the video. We have had great results with the landpride and Kubota . Quite spoiled with the cab it’s a whole other world inside that on a hot or cold day! Thanks for watching. Dave
OMG! You are digging it out? Not a good idea. You will still have to spray it. Small roots will break off and grow new plants! Where you dump it will need to be sprayed now too. You couldn't bury knotweed deep enough to smother it. Mowing only spreads knotweed too. Buy me a plane ticket. I'll take care of it for you!
lol. No worries. Thanks for the tips. I do have the correct stuff for treatment just have not done yet. The big problem is the area where it is at gets fill from surrounding areas. The town dumps fill there and I do as well it’s all debris from yard clean up and trees, brush ect. I use the fill to cover everything up. I’m Gona try your method this fall and report back. It’s a big problem all over. Dave.
@@Summitoutdoorproductions Make the county spray it since they brought it in.
I was a licensed applicator treating knotweed for twelve years on the Chehalis River in Washington State. After twelve years of getting just 10% reduction of the same clump year after year, I discovered the silver bullet. The trick is to spray it with Glyphosate, (never use RoundUp brand), 2 ounces per gallon, 1 ounce of a sticker/adjuvant. Cover all surfaces of the plant. The trick is to wait for the herbicide to be absorbed and then SPRAY IT A SECOND TIME! This is the only way to get 90 - 100% die-off in one season's treatment. DO NOT SPRAY NEAR ANY WATER. If growing beside water use the cut stem application. The most optimal month to treat knotweed is in September after the blooms and bees are gone!!! Fall is when the knotweed sends its energy down to its huge rhyzome underground thus it will take the herbicide down with it.
Nice build! I made a similar, with finer mesh. Try to tip from the other side.
Thanks for the tip!
Where I'm from, just SE of Huntsville Al. We call those soft shell turtles. Weird neck no doubt. But there shells are like rubber. Idk bout eating one, I'll pass.
Good eats there
Spiny soft shell turtle?
Pancake turtle! It's shell looks like a pancake. He's very interested in what's going on there. But keep your distance. They are not social & biting is their first response. Found in Florida & other southern states. They're speedy, too.
Yes his shell is like a pancake lol. We are in the north east. Western NY. NEVER seen one before. Bizarre. Thanks.
Do you have a step by step Video?
I wish I did !! Might have to build another one just for that reason. Stay tuned. There is a longer version of this on my channel that shows more of it but not a step by step. Dave.
I've never built stairs like this before. But been in construction over 35 years. Glad iwatch the video. I would have most likely started at the bottom and worked my way up leveling as I go. Is there a certain reason why you started at the top?
For layout reasons it’s just easier. When dealing with a random slope it was easier to work our way down, also trying to keep the stairs mostly above ground. I attached the first box of stairs to the concrete at top 3/4 inches low to allow for a flush fit when decking was installed. We were also kinda flexible where we ended the stairs not having a specific ending point, just wanted to make it easier to get to pool vs walking down a steep bank. That said I’m sure there are many ways to build I just liked the box idea and hope to give others ideas to assist in there build. Dave.
Setting the pressure treated wood in the dirt is bad juju. It won't last.
I have the same material been sitting in ground for over 10 yrs. It’s fine. Will last a long time. Thanks for advice though. Dave.
I'm building a blind also but haven't any ideas on how to do a simple door latch. I don't want a hook and ring for the door.
Maybe something out of wood? I have a piece of plywood as a door and it slides on the floor. Made a simple channel for it to slide in top and bottom. No need for a latch.
Don’t local codes require handrails?
Would be nice to see the mower
I do have quite a few videos with the mower in action. Check out my channel and playlists featuring the kubota. May do a review on it soon as well. Thanks 👍🏻. Dave
God damn dude, that's beautiful. I'm headed north Friday to build my 8x8 blind.
Thanks man. It’s been a great place to hunt out of. So much bad weather around and taking kids out for longer than a hlf hr before there ready to a Call it quits is priceless. Gets me out and keeps me out longer as well. Good luck with your build. You will love it!! Thanks for dropping a comment. Dave
That turned out so nice
Should of at least put some oil based primer on that soft wood .Not allowed to use it in this country on dirt because of white ants and water rot.👍👍
Pressure treated wood. You cannot stain this wood until it’s had time to dry out. Will apply a stain at later time. Thanks.
We call in three toms this morning and my buddy connects on one. What a day !! Little chilly but the birds were talking. Dave
Love to see it in 2 years
