Finding SIPS where I live is like looking for hens teeth. I'm not crazy about particleboard but the insulation level looks good on this build.

Awesome video, I've wanted to build with sips for years and wanted to do a tiny house for just as long. I'm going to build one with sips now 👍

Why the subfloor insulation when the sip floor panels have good r value. Is subfloor insulation just moisture protection from below maby.

Why the foam layer as a subfloor under the floor sips panel

Totally agree. There is no use for the foam and then the sip floor.

Can I order a tiny house shell from this company? Is this company still in business?

I don't understand the concept Sips if you can't finish wall's in one step...might as well do it in 2 by 5

I agree 100%! Why spend on average $250 for a 4x8 sip panel and then fur out the inside and outside just to make the interior a little bit more airtight? Now your tiny house heating bill goes from approximately $10 a month to 8 per month. Your payback for the extra costs of building with sips would probably be about 75 years lol! If I could find a sip panel with plywood on one side and something like lp smartside on the exterior so after I set my panels I'd be done with framing, insulating and finish work, I'd probably be onboard with the idea but not with the labor intensive method shown in this video.

@@Steve-cn5up You can be done with framing once the SIPs are installed. I don't know why these guys chose to add furring, but it's not necessary - although they didn't explain why, and it might be necessary .. lol. Even SIPs made of pressure treated lumber designed for basements don't need furring.

@@Steve-cn5up I've done a lot of research. Not sure what company does that, but they do use smartside on the outside.
