I'll bet your parents are extremely proud of what you two have accomplished. I know I am, I tell people all the time about this young couple in Minnesota who built the own cabin and out building and are basically debt free. I enjoy watching Kyle work lol

Always admired this young man from the day I watched his video when he carried his wood stove (was it on a wheel barrow) to the cabin that had no track to it, him & Skeeter. Ever since then I try to keep up with all his progress and how he is doing - and he is doing just so darn GOOD INDEED. So Kyle travel well and work safely - how charming even the pet cat is impressed with your work.

Ok, that's 5k and 12 week time frame in the city!! Looks awesome!! Cheers from the great state of Arkansas!!

I’m guessing, come winter, you will wish you had siding and door to keep snow from blowing in all winter. We had same sort of set up and after first winter, put up siding, door with simple latch (swing inwards so snow doesn’t block it) and wood slatted floor. It was a 100% improvement, oh yes, shelves for battery, etc etc.

In Northome I just wrap a tarp around it before the first snow and it builds itself.

I live in Klamath falls Oregon and I own only a little over a third of an acre. I really appreciated your comments on one of your videos about mental health I think, getting out more and being out on my property, growing my own food being in the sun, and finding my own ways to supply food, and other things for my family, to keep us out of the grocery stores with all the genetically modified ingredients and vegetables and fruits I would like to make my property as self-sufficient as I possibly can because I think what we put in our bodies also reflects our mental health in a lot of ways. I very much commend you for putting that in your videos because it is so true, I would love to have more conversations with you about how we got to be where you are and where I am with my family if I could possibly do as much as I can to be off the grid and out of the grocery store as much as possible. Got a kick out of seeing Skeeter bracing you while you put the rafters up! I know he just wanted your attention, but it sure looked like he was helping you! My dog, Gaspar, always helps me when I am cooking in the kitchen, right there to pick up anything that falls to the floor so that I don't have to do it!

That garden hose will freeze, expand and bust in the winter, unless you bury it. Then run an extension cord out to the well, and you can turn on the water from inside the house! Nice video! Thank you for sharing...

Great job Kyle! A few videos back I mentioned building a log well house and so cool watching you build it. That protection will be so helpful this winter. Maybe next build an adjustable solar tray mounted between two log poles so you can tilt the panels for different seasons. My Self Reliance posted a similar tray for quick reference.

You are a lucky duck, dude! I want and need a well - jealous. I hauled 40 gallons of drinking water out of Cornicopia today for my off-grid home; 7 gallon jugs. They don't get lighter as I get older!

Just finished building a beautiful wood smokehouse out of reclaimed 2x4 ‘s and pallet wood. It is gorgeous. Will be smoking fish and hard boiled eggs next weekend. Venison sausage in the fall. Your smoker will be a great addition Kyle.
