    Thanks Kyle. I always used my propane lantern to heat up the outhouse if it was cold………in case I was in there for awhile!😊 Light and heat!

    Nice outhouse 👍 when I built our outhouse I made a paper 🧻 holder big enough to hold two roles ,paper over and paper under... keeps everyone happy.

    I recommend a foot bench in front of the seat bench so you can elevate your feet while going. Kind of a rustic squatty potty

    at least we know when you build stuff its efficient the tree couldn't even destroy the outhouse fully it was still standing good job Kyle!!

    Kyle I understand you do not have running water in the house, but septic tanks are not expensive. Add a bathroom on to your house and keep a 5 gallon bucket of water in there for flushing. You live in Minnesota, your girlfriend will thank you on those -20 nights.

    Great loo!ing outhouse. Kyle, how often do you have to move the outhouse due to the hole filling up with solids? That hole looked pretty small.

    Use some of that plastic roofing as a 'splash guard' inside the bench seat above the hole. It keeps the moisture off your wood, prevents odors from building, and makes the wood last longer. Looks nice.

    good suggestion! keeps all that urine from soaking into the wood. that's the one thing lots of outhouses are missing.

    Build a two hole outhouse. Use one hole for six months, then pour lime down that hole and move over to the other hole and use for six months and lime. Repeat this over and over. The lime dissolves the waste and you will never have to move the outhouse or dig another hole.

    I remember using my great grandfather’s outhouse when I was 5yrs old. If you would ask me that’s the way to go because you don’t have to worry about sewage and water bills. Kyle you’re outhouse looks NICE

    We have an out house when I was a little kid. Dad never thought of putting the pipe for the smell in used to use that blue smell stuff.

    I had a friend that worked up in Alaska and his wife went up to work in the kitchen of a logging camp and her first hard winter morning she went in early to start the coffee and then went out to use the outhouse and didn`t come back and everyone knew why so the whole camp went out to assist her . She was frozen to the seat .

    That little house looks a lot better than the original, great job. We just need to step it up a bit on the seat 😀I do agree about the foam for sure and the vent pipe, as those two things make a hug difference. All the best and thanks for bringing us along.

    Some of my relations in Alabama had out houses, back when I was a young boy we would go visit in the 1960/70's. As I recall they had deep holes/pit under them and they lasted for ever . Which makes me ask how come your hole under your out house is so shallow ?
