Are those trees big enough for to build a log cabin with? Also, maybe wait till further into winter to cut them down? Get a big rattler out of those wood piles. Looks like a high spot on the property. labor day does it for summer. The leaves are changing big time. Beautiful place. That will make a bunch of firewood, maybe some building wood for out buildings. Clear it out good. Fire protection, shy view for communications and solar power. Do it now while you are at it. I'd clear out a loop road, in/out on both sides have easy access.. Go to the backend and fall the logs pointed back so you can get ahold on the big end and pull them out easier. Looks great Think some about the drainage on the roadway. May need to shift in back and forth a little. I wouldn't cut any fresh dirt now til spring. Just be a big mud hole all winter. May need some of the sapling logs to bridge over some soft places. Be careful watch for hang ups.

Kyle, consider renting a mini excavator. Get one with a thumb, you can move trees and brush. They have a blade on them as well. Some have a six angle blade. You could remove stumps from your driveway, and yard area. IMO. Something to consider?

One suggestion. Instead of dropping your trees towards the direction you plan on pulling them drop them away from it so that when you pull them out you are not pulling against the branches

I hope you will include a taller loft area, where your knee wall is at least 6ft tall or just build a two story home. I would suggest an Echo saw. Their parent company, also Japanese, bought out Shindaiwa, the best saws on the face of the Earth! They now share technology! The CS-4910 is the best saw for the money in the world!! You can still buy the Shindaiwa version, the 492, and it is identical to the CS-4910. They are both the same price, and of course there are more dealers for Echo than Shindaiwa, but some dealers carry both. Engines for Echo/Shindaiwa are all made in Japan, and final assembly is 30 minutes from me in Lake Zurich, Illinois!! Don't go with Husqvarna or Stihl, Echo/Shindaiwa is so much better! Longer lasting, just better built! Oh, and they won't vibrate as much either!

I absolutely believe if the people don't move out away from the city's get Land paid off, and their cabin paid off and grow most of their own food at least and raise their own chickens and rabbits, ect. Or whatever animals that you want to eat, maybe a couple goats you can milk and make butter out of and hunt, you will have to do whatever the government tells you to do .

@@russellzigler2180Yes and they will impose every stupid tax and made up rules to comply to on top of all that. The government wants to have as much control of your wealth and rural freedom as possible.
Oh this is going to be great!! Sierra is a good little worker. It's great to see you both work together. Thank you.
Great job you two, another Kyle a You Tuber (Traplines and Inlines) is building a huge log home solo up in Northern Saskatchewan Canada, and he is just 22 years old, he's a farm boy so he isn't a stranger to hard work!
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the lord bless and protect you and Sierra working on the homestead
You’s probably know this all ready : raise the ground x 36” on and around the build sight . Lay in all the plumbing for one day . The cabin we own was a dry cabin . In the 1960’s pipes were installed . 1970’s put two 55gallon oil drums were put in the ground 50’ away from the cabin ran crock to barrels dug 4 25’ trenches (leach field)crock river rock shingles stone ,east from oil drums 🛢️ put the throne in the tub room . Still working . Good luck to ya’s
I look forward to the series.
I like the idea of a new larger log cabin for your forever home. Start planning all the details now that you want to see in the finished home, I do enjoy your rustic style, but this build should be well thought out with attention to detail and craftsmanship! So looking forward to watching this journey unfold.
Looking forward to watching you build your forever home!
Kyle I remember the Boundary Waters fire were in the news sometime ago how close was it from your property ? One thing to think about having a large clearing that won't feed a fire . Best of Luck on the proposed house project
CONGRATULATIONS ON the new cabin, down the road. You'll need a bigger cabin for kiddos also it will be nice to see your Dad again cut the logs a little smaller so Skeeter can help😊😊 thanks for sharing Kyle, Serra
A wood chipper would be awesome 👍😎
THIS is why I've watched you from the beginning! Don't really care about fishing vids, but I'll watch you build ANYTHING. It's so good to see someone work so tirelessly and so well to make something useful. You're awesome!!!
As soon as you start burning wood for the season, save all of ashes, mix it with water and make lye from it. Then you can take whatever animal fats you accumulate and make soap! Good money saver/maker...I'd even buy your first bar!
Hello!" Im telling you, you two sure are go getters, you love the challenge of hard work. Congratulations im really happy to see you working together on this big project.Good luck and God Bless You.See you on your next video.❤😊
Very cool ! Looking fwd to the new build series. You two are proof that the future is in good hands ... young people that understand the value of hard work.
Thanks for the video Kyle and Cierre. Always look forward to them.
I appreciate your update videos. Your skill, enthusiasm and hard work is outstanding. More people should do the same!!!
Congrats! You've certainly got log cabin construction in your DNA. So excited this new cabin plans to be your "forever" home. You're very talented people. Please be sure to think carefully about the new place's design. Plan in advance what you'll need now and all of the things you will need later on, especially if a family is part of your dream. Congrats again and best of luck! All of us will be waiting for each new video!
I’m so happy for both of you!!
Yes! Can’t wait for this build! Really hoping to see some hand scribing :-).
How exciting for you two, it’s so nice you have a big enough property to expand. And thinning out them trees is such a bonus,,,,firewood and bigger trees in the end and more day light. Congrats you guys 🇨🇦🌷
WOW! Lot of hard work young man, but it will be worth it.
the rabbits are going to love you for cutting them a nice supply of winter feed, love your videos stay safe
I am digging the idea Kyle of watching your building skills of your log cabin home.I am sure you watch Shawn and the Outsider cabin builds.I know yours will be great.I am retired and drinking some beers celebrating for you both......hiccup....burp.....ahhhh....!!!

What a project! And a wonderful thing to build your forever home. You two really work hard. It's nice to see.
How exciting! Can't wait until the videos start, I'll listen to the commercials I'm so excited. 😂
Really looking forward to following this one along over the next good long while!
I’m so excited for you! Slow and steady and before you know it, you’ll be moving in!
Kyle and Sierra you will have a beautiful forever home. The path that was cut is already showing the sun shinning through. That area also looks different. Stay safe. 😊
Hello, from Central New Mexico. I'm looking forward to seeing the new cabin go up. If you have any questions on chickens, just ask me. I raise pheasants and quail for over 40 years.
That’s great news, your working pretty fast there . Remember safety first…
How exciting! A new log home!
Been watching your videos since Covid's lockdown & I confess that sitting in Europe and even in the UK where ostensibly we speak the same language, the cultural differences are vast and actually sometimes even the language, not for the first time Google was my friend, having no idea what a Skid Steer was!! 🤪
It’s very cool that you are planning your forever home and it’s a log home. Can’t wait to see the progress and l know the both of you will make it your own. I am guessing your homestead now will be an air bib and a cash flow to help with your build and lifestyle. Always the best in your endeavors.
Rarely comment on vids but I just thought I would say… I have watched all your vids now and started watching you like 2 months ago, make sure you post vids as often as you can because I’m loving it and it’s inspiring me to build a get away Cabin on my land for a place to hang out to clear my head and I will defo use some tips you had when building your cabin and in the future if you can post hunting vids like traps, shooting and fishing that would be amazing ❤
I have a feeling winter is coming earlier and harder this year!! I just got back from a trip to Minnesota! The leaves were turning color already and the acorns are falling like crazy and there were over double what there normally is! That's one of the signs of a rough winter!

I’m so happy you’re building a log cabin as your main hone And you’re planning on taking your time so that you can include all the conveniences. Your current home is 20x30, now you plan on building 24x40. I hope you will have two buck stove. One in the front room & a small one in the back, bedroom area. I hope you will include a taller loft area, where your knee wall is at least 6ft tall or just build a two story home. My wish list is outrageous but it feels nice to fantasize as we learn more about what you want to build. 😂
Good job with the clearing of the driveway. Sierra went beast mode with throwing those logs.
Itasca State Park is absolutely beautiful. I’ve camped a few many times growing up. I had parents in Owatonna for years until they past. Beautiful State. I’m looking forward to this new home project. It’s gonna be fun to watch you two. I really enjoy your channel..♥️
Well I reckon I will need to bring in a fresh batch of popping corn... This will be a good show !
More and more light comes to the ground. Means the vegatation will change finally to better. Finally the right step to do. Super and i will follow every step/video.
Wow Kyle you are such a hard worker!! Please be careful and safe. It will be fun watching you build your log cabin. You are truly amazing the skills that you have! I’m sure it will turn out beautiful. Looks like Skeeter is doing well. And the kitty too! I will enjoy watching your videos on your new adventure and am very curious what your plans are for your housing you are in now once your new log cabin is built. Have a great September!!❤
I'm so happy for y'all to I'm glad to say the dog and the cat and pretty Cierra. I'll be glad when y'all go back fishing and hunting and I miss seeing you all do that thanks for the video when sharing everything with us. As always be safe and God bless
I am sooooo happy for you!!! I would love love love to do this. I am glad your able to live out your dreams:). Your doing a wonderful job
It's good to see the cat and dog supplying valuable on-site supervision. I'm sure their contributions are invaluable.
How exciting Kyle and Cierra! Will be watching the build from Australia. Best wishes to you both ❤
Cant wait to see the build. I have seen plenty of small log cabins built, but not a larger one from scratch... Want to see how you make a 40' wall, whether straight or offset in one or two places. Then there is the well and the solar...
Love what you are doing inspired me . Can't wait to do that , myself . Bean a mechanic for 25 years but your way ahead of me.I Need too get into the woods!
(Tom here.) Kyle, l'm glad to see Sierra back and walking around again. You two make a great team. Good luck on this new venture, sir!!!! Be safe. Be good. See ya!! (Tom)
Fantastic can't wait to watch and knowing you Kyle it will be a walk in the park congratulations to you both ❤🎉
Great to see you starting on another project... looking forward to seeing it develop 🙂
Sweet...a log cabin build ! Thanks for sharing !!
I had my driveway cut NOT Straight on purpose. I wanted to not see the front from the back. Keeps folks from seeing the buildup out back. We really like it this way.
Definetely get a rancher. I have a 455 rancher and it is a beast. It is heavy though, but it chews through hardwood with ease. Love the content man, keep it up!
Love Skeeters. All are doing a great job.
Great video Kyle You and Cierra are making a great future and your forever home Driveway will be nice back into the property Love the supervisors Skeeter and Miss Kitty God bless you both and take care See you all in next video ❤❤❤❤❤
Loving this. You both are amazing wonderful people and the love you have for each other and the dreams you share about building your forever home is beautiful. Can't wait to see you start building. Yes, take your time there is no hurry and just enjoy the build and creating things together. The memories of this will last a lifetime and you will have wonderful stories to tell your children. 🥰❤️
🌲🌲🌲 a few blue spruce trees clustered here and there on your property would really look nice. Being you’re young, you can buy them cheap/small and let them grow. It would give some dramatic contrast to the landscape. Just an idea. 😋
ABSOLUTELY 👍👍 POSITIVELY ALL THE LUCK IN THE WORLD 🙋🥰👍🤞
This is going to be very interesting ❤
Hello Guys I enjoy myself watching Your KZread Video I'm From SINGAPORE 🇸🇬 God Bless You And Your Wife 🙏🙏💐💐💐💐❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Hopefully someday you can buy a skid steer for maintenance around your property, especially for snow removal 😊.
I love your way of living, it’s a shame we in the uk can’t live like this. It’s a shame, if I was younger I would emergrate over to the USA and live like this….I love your channel, you are the best x

How exciting, looking forward to watching the build 😊
Lat’s go Kyle, I watched all your videos in 3 days. I’m ready for this new project, but please 🙏🏻 buy yourself bigger stepladder. I can’t handle any more when you stand on top of 4 footer😅
Best of luck on the new cabin build! Will be watching every step!
Great news! Go big! I'm assuming you guys want kids. How awesome will it be to show them all the before and after. And knowing and seeing mom and dad doing the work! Hope you don't run into any poison ivy/oak or snakes. Gonna be great to watch.
Great idea big cozy log cabin home sweet home
A cow and a new cabin?? Frig I love you guys! All love and God bless!
Congrats on the new chain saw purchase! BTW... excellent brand choice. 👍
What an exciting decision! Y’all have a beautiful piece of land! With your energy and expertise on how to get things done I’m sure it’s all going to be wonderful! Blessings to you on your new adventure!
This is really exciting! We've really been loving your channel since we discovered it last year, aft which we binge-watched to see the videos that we missed! We'll be looking forward to the updates on the cabin! You made great progress clearing the driveway so far! 🙂
You could make a bed-and-breakfast out of your cabin that you have already made once you make your log cabin
Anything worth doing takes time. You guys got this!😊
Watching from ❤ Philippines❤ You two are beautiful couple. Wife so strong💪 My husband and I will have a farm soon.
Excited to follow along for this build!! Very happy for you two!!
Hello from the Twin Cities (Anoka County). We really look forward to the exciting progress to come.
You revving the chainsaw while not cutting anything is the equivalent to a dad standing over the grill, clapping the tongs together for no reason 🤣🤣🤣
