Black wing:
We combined the best features from our top benches to create the ultimate, high-quality, adjustable, flat-incline-decline bench, the BlackWing Adjustable Bench. This heavy-duty bench includes our redesigned, patented ZeroGap feature that is easier than ever to use. Slide the seat forward and backward to eliminate the gap between the seat and back pad in all positions. A closed ladder system along the back pad allows for 12 easy and secure angle adjustments, ranging from -8 to 85 degrees. This bench is also compatible with the Leg Roller Attachment, so you can secure your legs for additional exercises. The adjustable seat pad, with six angles, uses a new, patent-pending design that combines the ease of a ladder design with the security of a pop-pin when moving the seat up. Pick between standard-width pads or 14” wide pads for more shoulder support. Both pads are made from our new, extra grippy, dense CleanGrip material.
The BlackWing is compliant with IPF competition height standards and is built for great leg drive for all lifters. The heavy-duty bench is made with 11-gauge steel, can handle 1,000lbs, and features improved front and rear feet for increased stability. Grooved, rubber feet help keep the bench in place, while protecting the floor. The BlackWing is topped off with high-end finishes, such as a cut-out REP logo on the ladder, stainless-steel finished handles, and a laser-cut mountain logo on the front foot. When you are done with your workout, the space-saving design allows the bench to be stored in an upright position, taking up only 3.1SQFT of space, featuring an integrated, metal storage stand with a protective, plastic liner. A horizontal, knurled, stainless-steel handle makes the bench still very maneuverable at 131lbs. The BlackWing was designed in Denver, CO, and is protected by one or more issued and/or pending patents.
ZEROGAP
Redesigned to be more user-friendly, our patented ZeroGap technology allows you to slide the seat forward and backward to eliminate the gap between the seat and back pad in all positions - especially nice when benching flat.

    A cheap flat 100usd bench, here in europe the pricing is fucked up. The blackwing with wide pad is 940usd in england and the rouge adjustable bench 3.0 is 950usd. I'll keep my cheap one. The question is, would you as an american pay that?

    @@ozzy8422 Great question! If that was the market price for most high end benches, then Yes I'd pay it 1x and def. not have the money to buy multiple benches to review. I think most people can absolutely get away with a $100 bench but find they enjoy the bells/whistles that warrant the extra money. But yeah, 950 usd for rogue is NUTS!

    Great review/overview. It really does come down to preference / exercise selection choosing between the AB-5200 2.0 and BlackWing. We also recommend the AB-5200 2.0 with the fixed post for commercial facilities. Requires no learning curve, whereas the BlackWing and AB-5200 2.0 with the adjustable post are great for home gyms or smaller training studios because of the versatility (decline, more attachments coming) and it taking a minute to learn how to use. Very proud and happy with all the options and I think we've got everyone covered now.

    Since everyone has a different budget, space, and lifting level I don't think there is ever a prefect bench for everyone. With that said, your team has done a great job with a variety of options, allowing home gym fans to "choose their own adventure and find the right bench for them.

    Great video!! I’ve been considering upgrading our adjustable bench lately. I first got very excited about the black wing, but am starting to be more about the 5200 2.0. The zero gap feature- the 5200’s longer back pad should be enough room for most of us to get our whole upper half on for comfortable flat pressing. Maybe for the super tall the black wing may make more sense? Haven’t pulled the trigger yet, but everyone seems to love all things Rep these days.

    Firstly, great video with brilliant info, illustrating moves and the bench in action. Should I be concerned the foot catcher on the Rep blackwing comes across as inferior to the Manta Ray? Is the Rep foot catcher uncomfortable to use for decline work, which I want to do a lot of, aswell as using the other features the bench has? The force needed to lift the bench looks decent, but struggling to find something that offers all the other key features the Blackwing does with my $700 budget .

  • @NoFate247

    @NoFate247

    7 ай бұрын

    I personally don't think the foot catcher is bad. Obviously the Manta-Ray's is better but also quite a lot more money, almost in an entirely different pay level. The bench requires two hands to lift but it isn't cumbersome just something you need to be aware of if you're on the smaller side. Thanks for watching and subscribing, really appreciate the positive feedback.

    How would you weigh the option of the 5200 2.0 & something like the Black Wing whereas you may prefer the 5200 2.0, but are intrigued by the attachment potential that the Black Wing or another bench that accepts attachments has to be even more versatile in the future? I'm struggling with this, makes me thing I need to just be patient. I do have a stand alone leg extension/curl that is very nice, American made. BUT if a decent leg ext/curl came out as an attachment, I could sell that piece and get back some floor space in the home gym. I think if Rep made the 5200 3.0 where it can accept attachments - just take my $

  • @NoFate247

    @NoFate247

    10 ай бұрын

    If you want attachments then you should go black wing cause I don't see how they will add any to the 5200. But if you don't do decline sit-ups then you should probably go 5200. Comes down to how much you want those current and maybe future attachments

    @NoFate247 yeah I got it as a starter bench. It's alright. It definitely can have better build quality. I was able to do nordics curls on it and decline crunches. I use it to flat bench. I am unable to test the 1600 lb claim since I am only a 295 lb bencher. The bottom seat is kind of wobbly but I can tighten it. Some of the logo lettering peeled off when I pulled of the sticker that was protecting the logo. The seat can be more grippy. Needs pin holes for nordics even though I was able to do them. It is a little heavy for my wife.
