Really appreciating your channel, I recently bought the Amp Stomp II and your videos have helped immensely. As you mentioned, you can easily max out the DSP, a great idea for a future video would be how to integrate the Stomp with other pedals. I'm planning a small pedal board using my Stomp, Strymon BlueSky and an OCD. I'm thinking to place the OCD in front of the Stomp and then the BlueSky in the Stomp effect loop. It would be great to understand some of the pros and cons of this type of setup.

Great video. Thanks for uploading. I’ve been gigging with the Ampero into a Headrush speaker. I was So impressed that I have one of these on order. I look forward to more videos in the future and was wondering, will you be doing a video on using the soul press 2 and Ampero control with this unit?

Would be great if you do a sound comparison video. Ampero being used as a pedalboard ( effects unit only)into a real amp and cab vs Ampero into frfr speakers, also showing how to connect it and set it up for both options.

Great video as usual Scott! Just wondering whether you've tested the Digital Octa effect and, if so: - Can you comment on whether there's any noticeable latency/delay (particularly with chords)? - As this is quite a DSP-heavy effect, does it seem like many other blocks can be added to the same preset? Thanks so much or all your informative videos!

Latency is really important. So far none of the KZreadrs has address that point

Another thing… Almost every video/comment on the net seems to say “turn off cab if running into a cab..” I AM running my ampero into clean power and into a “real” 2x12 custom cab. I’ve had multiple modelers, multiple line 6 power cabs, frfr speakers, and now a $1500 custom cabinet. I understand the “theory” of I don’t “need” an ir or cab in my chain since I’m actually using a cab…but it’s always sounded thin, with ANY modeler…helix, headrush, ampero, UAFX, irx, tonex, etc. I guess I’m just curious… I feel like I’m doing something wrong! I can’t imagine how anyone can get a good sound running from a modeler into a power amp and then cab…I’ve tried….even with a “real” cab modelers seem to always be “incomplete” if you don’t add an ir or cab after. Your thoughts? Other viewer comments please? I know “if it sounds good, it is good” I’d love to save a slot and not use memory for a cab… How are y’all getting a good sound and saying “you don’t need a cab block because you’re actually using a cab!” I don’t get, it’s maddening!!

Dude, I do the same thing and it always bothered me hahahaha. I use an ampero 2 stomp loading amp+cab sim into a joyo bluejay in my home and i just run The same patches with an IR for gigs, works fine for me, but youre right, it would be nice to save some memory. Sorry for my english, non english speaker here hahah

Great video! I'm curious about why is not good to have a patch level at 100. In my scenario, if I don't set it that way my guitar is buried in the mix as the other guitar player uses a Marshall JCM900 (not simulator).

Can you route the effects chains to the outputs separately? So you can run a dual amplifier setup with a different chain going to each.

I’m a little late to the party but they just dropped the price so here I am. You mentioned a workaround for squeezing more processing power out of the Ampero 2 when some effects are grayed out. Can you point me to your video that has that info? Thanks

I don't understand why you'd place a delay and reverb after the cab. I noticed in a lot of the factory patches they do the same but that's not something anybody does with physical equipment, or I never have anyway.

  • @ThePedalGuy

LOL. That’s just the way they do it with the modelers. The verb and delay come after the amp and cab.
