The #p51mustang is something else as I am on my own path to flying warbirds as well. It's truly inspiring to see him tell this tale and then have the opportunity to go fly in these aircraft the very next morning in formation and in a simulated dog fight. Words here cannot express my gratitude as I am extremely thankful for the opportunity.
May 8th, 2023 cannot come soon enough as I am schedule with Stallion 51 for their 51 checkout program. I have been flying the Stearman that I purchased now for almost 300 hours and the T6 that I was recently checked out in as the next time builder. Come May I hope to have 50-100 hours in it.
I am all things aviation and the history behind these aircraft is nothing short of incredible.

Thank you for sharing this Quinner ! My grandfather (who lived across the street from the field at KOSH) flew B24's in WWII and had 30 missions over France and Germany... I could listen to these stories ALL day! Men were MEN back then, this makes me miss my grandfather! SOOOO jealous of your flight in the 51
Sent me for a loop with the bravo/delta thing, in the 40's it would have been baker or dog... Hell of a stick, gentleman on the ground but a tiger in the air ( or on a slug of Old Crow! )
