Helicopter Skiing Alaska with Points North Heli

This is the first week of our season here at PNH and I thought I would share with you my other life. All of my past videos have been of myself and friends flying. This is really what has given me the opportunities in life that I have and am extremely thankful for.
I have been running my own heli ski operation in Cordova Alaska for the past 23 years. This video is about the 1st week of our season that we have just competed. I write this as we begin week 2 of 2021.
This is a look into a few days I had in the field this week. 3 days this week to be exact. I had 21 runs. One of the days I spent with my 10 year old daughter Kinley. She continues to blow me away with her athletic talents. You will see where see is pretty much hanging with all of the adults in steep terrain and perfect deep powder conditions. Proud dad here no doubt.
We cruise and creep into areas in our tenure doing snow evaluation at various elevations and aspects. Early season always provides cold snow on all four sides of the mountain. Thats the part I really love about this time of year in the mountains.
I think you will enjoy the helicopter flying as well in this one. I have incredible respect for our pilots. Thankfully, we have been flying with them (North Star Trekking out of Juneau) for nearly 20 years!
Theres nothing quite like Alaska. This has always been my home and always will be.

Nice to see people actually turning! I get pretty tired of watching straight-lining - seeing who can get to the bottom first. Brings back fond memories of starting the first heli-operation in the Chugach back in the 1970s (Alaska Powder) and even further back to the $5 ride up what was to become Alyeska in the spring of 1959 in an old Allouette II. Been there, done that!!

I and a few friends were riding the Funitel up at squaw many many years back and I noticed that we were on with Jimbo Morgan and Aaron Mcgovern. Someone straight shit their pants on that thing I was about to blame my buddy when I made eye contact with Aaron and he spits out chew juice and says, "Welcome to Squaw Valley." It was hilarious.

Spectacular! Throughout the video I kept thinking the views can’t get any better than this, but they kept getting better. Entire video was fantastic, but the highlights for me were the 80 year old lady skiing, your daughter’s incredible talent, and the helicopter sticking it on the peak. Great material for a shorter promo for your business. Nice to see the other side of your life, Kevin. What a great environment for your children to grow up in.
all I can say is WOW! can't even imagine having the chance to do that. You had better know where you are going, that first drop could be a doozy!

Some super footage Kevin - and music great too. The heli sure is quicker than a cable car - that's about a 1,000 lb lift with all personnel on board.
Loved it, glad your are sharing this with us. Maybe get Mike and Mark P up there, but they would add big horse power to the skis.
