Marquis Johnson was one of my favorite players growing up. If I remember correctly, it was Dr. J, Marquis Johnson, Bernard King, and the GREYHOUND Walter Davis around the late 70's. They were great Small forwards.

What a pleasure it was watching Marques Johnson play with UCLA with Richard Washington! Then arriving in the NBA during the Fall of 1977 with a super Rookie Class along with Bernard King, Walter Davis, Greg Ballard, Jack Sikma among others! I tried to play like him and The Warriors Phil Smith! Marques was a hybrid small Forward slash Power Forward. Marques played with both force & Finess! So blessed to have witnessed his road less traveled. 1970's / 80's Era was the best!!

@@Wallyworld30 Are you a dick all the time? Guessing you are, otherwise you wouldn't take the time to respond. I generally don't reply back, though you're a special case. Guessing you live in your Mom's basement. Read below how I know Marques and why he was my idol at UCLA. Do you know who he's named after and why his name is spelled that way? He was named after Marques Haynes of the Globetrotters. I grew up watching Marques at UCLA and he's a UCLA legend. When I was a kid growing up in SoCal I went to the John Wooden summer camps while Marques was attending and he worked with us all week. I already had Johnson't magazine covers and pictures all over my bedroom walls. Years later in the early 90's I happened to run into him while his son was playing for UCLA and I was working in Santa Monica. Of course I didn't expect him to remember me, though we had a few laughs and he said I was making him feel old telling him he was MY IDOL as a kid.
