I wish there was a stronger button emotion than like, to see #8 Marques Johnson, THE ORIGINAL MJ, get his jersey retired was a great sight. We love these Bucks and we love you Marques!!! #MJForHOF

I love when they retire numbers who were from earlier eras. I didn't get to see Johnson play and didn't know much about him, this has really helped me appreciate what he meant to basketball and the Milwaukee Bucks.

He was one of my favorite bucks player. I got a picture with him when I was 8 year old playing ball at the YMCA!

Seems to be an all around great guy. I love his commentating for the Bucks!

Marques Johnson was a great small forward he played during the golden age of small forwards doc bird nique king the list goes on and on

The only team to sweep a Larry Bird led Boston Celtics team in a 7 game series was the 1983 Milwaukee Bucks.

Khawi Leonard, is the modern-day MARQUES JOHNSON. By the way, Dr. J made me a basketball fan. I totally agree with Junior Bridgeman words.

Marques was one of the greats in the 70’s and 80’s. I was in Chicago just south of Milwaukee and those guys were so good, it’s a shame they had to run into the 76’ers and Celtics. They lead the division year after year. Marques outplayed Dr J on a few occasions. Their battles were epic. These were real basketball players. Congratulations MJ.

Marques made the Bucks a constant playoff team. Small market team that didn't get much TV coverage back then but were a good team. They would eventually lose out many times to Bernard King and the NY Knicks, Dr J and the Sixers, or Larry Bird and the Celtics. It took the legends to beat the Bucks back then.

They swept the Celtics in the 83 playoffs. Took the Sixers to 7 games in 81 with Marques out scoring Dr. J 36 to 28 in game 7. Also the only team to win a game against the Sixers in the 83 playoffs!

Long time coming. Now MJ and Sid in the Hall Of Fame please!
