Pre debut he had locks, gotta say from the one photo I've seen of him with them he looked mighty fine. He cringed so much about his hair when they did a reaction later lol. Early Bangtan is still my fave era.

LOL this is their very first video so it’s as much of a “throw back” as you can get. LOL. This was the original “hip hop” theme but still meaningful lyrics telling the youth to not let the older generation and expectations take their dreams away.... glad ya’ll liked it.....they laugh at it now but I still luv it.... and I LOVE the live version with dance break that they have done. Peace!

That was their debut and the music they made then was my favorite. Don't get me wrong I love their music now, but after Dope there was a serious change in sound. I miss the No More Dream days. I'm glad the boys have made it though. They're finally getting a much needed 2 month break. I think they need longer but I don't think they'll be able to sit still for that long. They don't know how to rest just like the rest of the world.

Love their old stuff! Well worth watching.

From their reaction to them performing this, BTS are proud of the message they were delivering since the beginning and also embarrassed for the stylistic choices re: thir fashion and the fact that they were kinda shy and inexperienced back then lol But they accept the fact that they had to be that back then in order to become what they are today. Also, sound-wise, they still do hip-hop from time to time so they didn't completely leave it behind despite the changes. Hip-hop is their roots.

I still jam this song! the lyrics and message are really great too. They started out more hip hop and edgy looking. They were young, most of them still teenagers.

I kind of forget how simpler their sounds were in this song compared to their latesr album, because their musical style has definitely grown and is more complex and has more depth. This song is still a bop though. Lyrically, this shines like all of their songs. You can definitely see how their concepts for their future albums developed and pinpoint where the love yourself/myself ideals existed, even this far back.

Even though I came to being their fan with the more recent albums, I enjoy listening to their music of the early years. Since “No More Dream” was their first song, you should react to their second one which is “We Are Bulletproof Proof Pt. 2” if you haven’t before. It goes just as hard heh. There’s a cool live performance of No More Dream in a video on YT that’s titled “BTS Come Back Home + No More Dream + Mic Drop.” The overall performances are of the hip-hop vibe and it was from 2018.

You have to remember that when BTS started, they started with the intention to be nothing but Hip Hop. As a matter of fact, the line up that we have now. Its not the original line up....they were all rappers. Only 2 of the original line up stayed (R.M. & Suga.) Well three if you count their now producer Supreme Boi. But when the CEO decided to make it into an IDOL group he knew that he would need at least 2 vocalists...so this song was their debut song with the line up they have now. Also J Hope was supposed to be a vocalist and V was supposed to be a rapper. CEO had them switch and R.M. and Suga taught J Hope everything when it comes to rap (J is also one of their songwriters, producers and their beats maker along with Supreme Boi) One other thing Jungkook, the baby of the group and the lead vocal, and usually in the center. He was 14 or 15 when they did this and he was one of rappers in the line not J Hope....there is a reason why ARMY calls him the "Golden Maknae" and its not because his pinkie is gold. There are several of their older videos u should check out. I don't know if you have ever heard or seen "Danger", but there is another version of it that I believe you guys would really like....even though the original has a hip hop feel, this version is more R & B feel to it...please look up "Danger" the Mo Blues Mix featuring Thanh Bui. An Australian Vietnamese artist. I hope you read this post, and I do hope u go with my suggestion with "Danger"...Have a Great Day!
