Jungkook's 14 here. He was born '97, they debuted in 2013 BEFORE his birthday in Sept. He JOINED at age 13 (pretty sure he wasn't the last one added tho)

When they boys debuted back in 2013, Jungkook was around 15yrs and the oldest, Jin, was 21. Now JK is 22, and Jin is 28. BTS’s music is incredibly diverse and even though their first albums were a lot more hip hop based, they have explored and experimented freely with different genres. They have EDM, neo-soul, ballads, trap, pop rock, latin pop, contemporary r&b, and fusions of many more. This is one of the reasons why they appeal to so many people. If you decide to react to their MVs in order, you’ll get to see how they grow artistically (and how their budget increased as they got more recognition) but please also react to their b-sides. A lot of fan favorites are songs that don’t have an MV (including the rap-line’s Cypher series), songs that aren’t on albums or even spotify (BTS has a soundcloud were they release free music as a gift to fans), and even the rap-line’s mixtapes (RM’s “RM” and “Mono”, Suga’s “Agust D”, and J-Hope’s “Hope World”). Jin the official visual of bts and V is just a visual becuase of the fans, but Jin was chosen by the company itself. And everyone knows that in each K-pop group is only one visual and in Bts its Jin. V is just seen as the visual by the fans, but he is not the official visual of the group.

BTS was a hip hop group when they started. Then Bang decided to change them into an idol group. Jungkook was 13-14 in American age. He was 15 in Korean age. So yes, he was in middle school.

Lmao i really missed Jungkook, rapping. I mean he is good at everything lol i could suggest some songs from BTS if your intrested. Mic drop, Boy with luv, Heartbeat, Singularity (V's solo song) And there is alot. I think you know but this music video was their debut song. At the end of the ON MV, it said No more dream to Dream. This song was like 7 years ago lmao but i still listen to it and like it lol

So to clarify a little bit since there's some varied answers in the comment Jungkook was 15 in this video (17 in Korean age) but was 13 (15 in Korean age) when he signed with Big Hit and started training. And it really is funny seeing how stylistically different they were in the beginning compared to today. BTS are definitely one of the more versatile groups when it comes to concepts and styles. The stuff in between this and ON is just as different in comparison as those two songs are. Lots of surprises coming. For sure.

Please look at the lyrics even if its on your own time! :) They're a huge part of why so many people love bts. for their deep lyrics. This song was basically criticism towards society and how "adults" push youth towards a specific road and not letting the youth choose for themselves.

Jungkook (the main vocalist) Raps in this he was like the 4th person that rapped in the first verse

It's so funny to compare No More Dream MV to ON MV 😂 In my opinion, the first is kinda ridiculous but it's so great to see how a group can evolve 😌

One thing i like about bts is they never forget their hardship in the past because they debut from small agency

Don't be confused. Jungkook was born in September 1997, this mv was released in June 2013. So you can calculate how old Jungkook is in this MV. 😅

Sadly, there were no subtitles for their earlier MVs, so you would either have to find the MV on a different channel or just watch a lyric video.

Hi, I have been ARMY (UK) for 2 years and I love fetus BTS so much. There are so many banging songs, it is impossible to even suggest them all, most people start with the MV ones, i.e. Danger, Dope, Fire, Not Today, DNA, Idol, Mic Drop, just keep discovering and enjoying the journey, it is so worth it!

Early bts was styled ... they didn’t have their own style till like the second album 3rd album. I am 33 years old and I found them because I watch dance videos on KZread and ran across a crew called “neuron” in 2012 and they were amazing especially j-hope and someone in comments said he would be debuting in a kpop idol group.... I had no idea what k pop was and lived in the states , a friend helped me set up so I could broadcast Korean tv channels and so I have been with bts since pre debut and there has not been one day I regret falling into this rabbit hole. #ILove7men. I am always so happy to see people develop an interest in the guys music and them. Hi 👋 welcome .

So glad you enjoyed their debut. I love their early tunes with the harder hip hop edge. Sadly they are very under appreciated by a lot of fans so don't tend to be recommended half as much as they should be. There are some real diamonds in early BTS discography that deserve recognition. Jungkook was 15 years old when they debuted. RM's sunglass was not for fashion. He wore those because he was afraid that people will criticize his looks for many said that his looks is at acceptable in korean standards. It was same with JHope, as you can see he wore a mask. Time for a little BTS education: - their albums and songs all evolved as they grew older - their first album(s) is/are about school, dreams, teenage stuff - their inspiration comes from their own experience at that time but also from what their fans share with them - this is one of the main reasons the bond between ARMY and BTS is that strong: ARMY is BTS's inspirational source and BTS is ARMY's life force. They grow and learn from eachother - actually BTS gives a voice to all things that are unspoken of, that stay silent/hidden (teenage trouble, suicidal tendencies, depression, anxiety, love, parents that are putting pressure on their kids, self love, you name it) - Jungkook is a really good rapper and still raps sometimes at concerts (or he vocalizes with one of his hyungs during his rap) - RM, JHope and Suga all have solo mixtapes that are very worth listening to (Suga's are produced under his alias Agust D) - BTS is not really concerned with presenting visuals, they are more about being real, having a message and have their looks match that message (in this case it's the teenage rebellion 😜) - in their early years they didn't have much money and had to do most things themselves. They also didn't have much freedom and their concept was a little forced on them - BTS worked incredibly hard to get where they are, they destroyed every single obstacle in their way, so they could put up the shows and present the music they wanted to share with the world

Jungkook was 13-14 when he debuted. Some people say he’s 15 in Korean age which is true but that’s because in Korea, they count the ages differently. This meaning even if he was 15 years old in Korea, he has not technically lived for 15 years yet.
