He's asking Pritchard to clarify his answer about Bischoff, which makes no sense because if Bischoff had all that baggage, as he says, why would they hire him in any capacity? Pritchard isn't making much sense, but when you're just towing the company line I guess it doesn't matter.

Everyone in WWE spun it as WCW/Eric Bischoff is bad and didn't really threaten us in 1996-1998. I loved WCW and the impact they had kicked the shit out of what Vince was doing for a long time. WWF needed it.

Why can't Conrad understand even the simplest statements? Why does Bruce have to explain Eric's "baggage" after all these years?

The real question is not why can't Conrad understand what baggage is the real question is why can't Conrad accept the answer he was given which is a perfectly logical reason reasonable explanation the why he wasn't considered immediately as anything but Talent Brigham and see what you got go from there that should be quite acceptable

The Eric Bischoff Stephanie McMahon brand split in my opinion is the best ERA of wrestling ever two stacked rosters a sense of legitimate competition against each other hot lesbian action the first reign of the next big thing it was just gold to me of course most will argue the Monday night Wars I wasn't watching then I have gone back and watched most of the episodes from both companies and I will still say the brand split is Numero Uno to me

You mean he didn’t enjoy that for a period of time there was genuine concern that his company would go out of business and he’d no longer have a job? And look back at the fact that a ton of people in WCW got jobs with the WWF nor did they directly put WCW out of business. WCW didn’t go bankrupt and had a viable buyer to continue operations under the bischoff led ownership and Turner chose to pull the plug. Bruce has spoken about a thousand times that he hasn’t wished for companies to go under because he wants people to have jobs.

Very true, I think not only from how mb any felt at the time but also seeing how many in the locker room reacted to the NWO coming in, Vince thought we might have to wait a little while for things to selt down only for Eric to go I prefer being a talent instead of office.

i don’t take to heart what people say in the wrestling business especially when it’s about other people. I just listen because it’s usually a soap opera kind of story. When Eric was first shown on camera I couldn’t believe it.

Conrad just casts doubt on everything being said of people with 30-40 years experience in the business, repeated the same questions, and acts like he knows far more than they do. He belongs to that "Meltzer" class of people who have never taken a bump but make a fortune off the people that have. Watch Sean Oliver or Brian Lake you get a better idea of how to lead these conversations.

I believe they were. There was a famous story of how Heyman was fired from WCW and the reason for it which when Eric came in just as an announcer Hwyman relieved to Eric day one.

For real Conrad? Bischoff met Vince in person, right before they announced him as GM. There is nothing wrong with what Bruce is saying here. After everything that happened in the end of WCW, let Bischoff come in, show he wasn’t to be there, before giving him actual authority.
