Whatever the merits of the Grand Prix system, none of those meetings ever get close to the sheer nerve-jangling excitement of World Final nights, where the atmosphere was so tense you felt sick with anticipation!

I just watched this on a rerun episode of "CHiP's yesterday.

Lucky you I use 👀Penhall @irwindale raceway Thursday nights speedway when he first started racing 1974 #145 was his number all the girls liked him 🦊😂

Still a superstar he really left his mark on anyone lucky enough see even videos of his racing. It was such a good time for the USA with so many great young riders at the time. He also seemed to be a great guy and cared about his fellow Americans and team mates.

Not sure Les had 13 points at the end if Kenny didn't fall willingly maybe Peter Collins won that heat and Bruce and Lee's should go in another heat to decide the Championship And who knows who can win!? That's my opinion!!! Did you see that clip years ago where show clear that Kenny fall intentional !!!?

They both should have been excluded.

Its a pity Bruce was lured by hollywood to get into acting as he could have gone on to win a few more world finals maybe ?
