Goku is the Super Saiyan of the legends. Broly is the Legendary Super Saiyan. There is a difference.

@@23Raind the entire Frieza saga they talked a lot about the legend of the super Saiyan. There was even a flashback of her blowing up planet Vegeta because of that paranoia. When Vegeta was fighting freezer, he kept mentioning on the legendary super Saiyan. For the legendary, super Saiyan, they were mentioned it in the manga, and of course, in the dragon Ball super movie with Broly about a scene that can be born with extremely high power level hence the legendary super Saiyan. So there is a difference. The original Broly movie is not Canon, but they mentioned it there as well. Vegeta himself was too scared to fight through most of the movie. And by the way, you mentioned how a super saying happens once every thousand years. That’s not correct. the correct information is that a super Saiyan had not happened in about 1000 years so it became a legend that the Saiyans talked about a lot.

The first Broly movie may not be canon, but Vegeta mentions it in the movie, “the saiyan of legend, the legendary super Saiyan.” Goku was not born a super Saiyan. Broly, however, was born with a power level of 10,000.

I think SS4 has been written to be Wrathful state. That's why its SSG Blue's equal. Its better too since now you can stack a transformation on top of it.

@@orrissonpereira1070 There's just one thing... you need ssj for it to work. Without it, you're just oozaru without oozaru. Anyway it also doesn't feel right, as the only multiplier that multiplies other multipliers is ssg. It works because whatever you do to your base Ki, will be turned into God Ki. so it's like stage 1 stage 2 scenario. But oozaru had a static multiplier, that didn't multiplied multipliers. Even if we say that ssj4 is equal to ssgssj, he's fighting them 2 on 1, even before ssj transformation, which is crazy.

I feel like genetically Broly was meant to be the LSSJ perhaps due to fate or just pure coincidence that he was born with immense talent if things were allowed to play out. However, since he was trapped on that planet so long he was stagnant, allowing others with less potential to become Super Saiyans before him, but I believe he was always meant to be that generation's Legendary Warrior, but meddling happened.

I 100% agree. I think the point of legendary super saiyan in broly is that the "Legend" that they thought goku was is a false interpretation. They said a legendary super saiyan is only born every thousand years or something like that. If that's true then it wouldn't make sense for there to be so many super saiyans. Goku is the strongest but he gets surpassed a lot. Thats why Broly being the actual Legendary super saiyan makes so much sense. Being a super saiyan doesnt fulfill the legend, it was referring to a saiyan so insanely strong. Even in super broly I think hes still the legend because what explanation would fit better for a saiyan being born so much stronger then even the most elite saiyans

Only because I feel like the fact that super saiyan itself is such a common form that pretty much any saiyan can achieve who's tapped into there emotions is what really takes away from that legend. It made sense at the time but I feel like a "Legendary super saiyan" would make more sense as a guy who was Born freakishly strong then a guy who coincidentally bumped his head so he was able to tap into his emotions and become one of the strongest saiyans around. I think him being tied to a destiny isnt as cool as just him being hard working as well. While with broly I feel like it would make more sense and just explain what they meant by a person only being born that way every 10 thousand years

Whole reason of King Vegeta banishing Broly to a super distant planet because he was concerned about his latent potential as well as hating the fact that Broly was stronger than Vegeta. Technically, the green haired form is referred to as FPSSJ, or Full Power Super Saiyan in most media outside of the movie. Which WOULD be really, really cool if that was a level of power Goku and Vegeta could learn alongside Broly so they don't have to rely on the God forms all the time.

In the movie we have seen that every time a saiyan pushes his own energy to the limit to become stronger, his energy turns green. That probably suggests that Broly's body is constantly pushing himself to the limit unlimitedly.

Wrong my friend, Broly IS the Legendary Super Saiyan. Goku became the first normal saiyan to transform into the "super saiyan of legend". If you look into the history of saiyans, the mutated saiyan is the one who reaches the form naturally, being born with a ton of power and easier access to transform. And is so violent, regular saiyans had to hide in there own planet for it to not kill them all. Once the raged ceased they could come out from hiding. And this mutant would only come out every millenia. What Goku achieves is fenomal cause he reaches a level that no regular saiyan had even thought of. This is what made Goku's achievement so special, it demonstrated that any saiyan can achieve new hights if they trained enough to.

I'm sorry but this is false. You are conflating the Legend of the Super Saiyan with the Legendary Super Saiyan which are two different things. Yes, Goku is the Fulfillment of the LEGEND of the Super Saiyan. A regular super Saiyan. The legend here refers to a prophecy, where a Saiyan would rise up to the level of a Super Saiyan. The LEGENDARY in Legendary Super Saiyan refers to a Title, denoting a higher level of Super Saiyan, beyond a regular Super Saiyan that pretty much any Saiyan can achieve. The LEGENDARY Super Saiyan is a very Special Saiyan, hence the title of LEGENDARY, and these Saiyans have insane power and potential. As clearly shown and evidenced by Both DBS broly and Kale, these are not average Saiyans, they have power and potential far beyond normal Saiyans allowing them to quickly catch up to the likes of God Goku and Vegeta. These are LEGENDARY Super Saiyans, their in a class all their own.

Blame the translations and the localizations and the closeness of the two concepts for all the confusion. Because Goku is the Fulfillment of the Legend, he continually gets referred to as the "Legendary Super Saiyan" despite not actually being a "Legendary" Super Saiyan. More accurate to say hes a Regular Saiyan who fulfilled the legend of the Super Saiyan. Where as the Title of "Legendary Super Saiyan" remains exclusively for Broly and Kale for universes 6 and 7

The ordinary Super Saiyan multiplies the power 50 times, and this has its limits. As for the legendary Super Saiyan, who comes once in a while, the power is doubled to infinity and beyond that and has no limits like the normal one.

You couldn't be more wrong here. It was said over and over in the series that the "Legendary Warrior was a ruthless killing machine. That was so out of control he lost control of his own power." Broly is that Legendary Super Saiyan just like Kale is. Goku was the first Super Saiyan to appear that Saiyans saw. But they failed to realize was Broly was the Legendary Warrior. I always have this argument with fans when I'm taking up for the original SSJ transformation. People can't stand this transformation ran laps around the God forms.😂💯

I been hoping that if every saiyan gets their own form, and broly has his wrathful super saiyan, with wrath saiyan being said to have the power of oozaru without transforming, then the super saiyan version being the golden oozaru without transforming into oozaru could lead to broly being the saiyan to get ssj4 as thats 1 of the 3 prerequisites, with the other being a large concentration of blutz waves and the regrowing the tail to push the form beyond golden oozaru

That doesn’t explain how he’s like an anomaly which gains an insane amount of z cells.

I remember one of the really cool early fan theories for Brolly in this movie was that he was the original Saiyan god or something. Like not a "SS god form" like Goku got but an actual divine being. That would have been so much cooler if he was some forgotten incredibly ancient god that awoke from a slumber that lasted eons (kind of like Cthulhu), or maby he was banished by Zeno to some unknown realm long before Beerus became a god and found a way to finally return and he was essentially the achetype saiyan being who was progenitor of entire race, and Goku and Vegeta had to fight this insanely powerful original, divine Sayian god, and not just another angry version of Brolly. How cool would that have been? And to see him show some long forgotten form or maybe even a form thought to no longer attainable to modern saiyans because they are so far removed from the original archetype. I think that would have been such an awsome basis for the movie.

In Super when Vegeta saw Kale he says "It's the Legendary Super Saiyan our ancestors spoke of!" . Super Saiyan is a transformation any Saiyan can achieve (Trunks and Goten as kids) but Legendary Super Saiyans are those with green hair and big muscles

So the green hair form is just ikari on top of ssj

LSSJ was supposed to be a Saiyan who's so strong that he will never need to train and is always ready to fight, right?

Lssj was the chosen Saiyan. He wins always and no equal in the universe according to Vegeta. And only once every 1000 years is one born.

He is just a full power super saiyan that is above super saiyan and above all the super saiyan forms, the true form of ssj

@@sawhunter117 Full power super saiyan is achived when a saiyan achives mastery of the full potential of the super saiyan transformation. Full power super saiyan is a form with no mayor energy drain and a 500 times multiplier to the base form, surpassing SS3 in every way. SS2, SS3, SS grade 2 and SS grade 3 are nothing more than variations of the super saiyan transformation. SS2 and SS3 full power also exist, but they have the same multiplier and a higher energy drain. The full power super saiyan is the strongest a super saiyan will go by itself.

Tbh i never thought of this Broly to be a Canon Legendary ssj, he's more of a Canon Ssj4. His base form resemble a lot Goku Ssj4 with the yellow pupils and the black long hairs. Also he's brutal and wild, like a man-sized oozaru, just like how the Ssj4 is supposed to be

That doesn't mean he isn't the legendary super sayain. The legendary super sayain is a person, not a transformation. The legendary super sayain gets a special transformation but the form doesn't need to have "legendary" in its title.

Full power super Saiyan is the form goku and Gohan achieved after the hyper bolic time chamber in the cell saga so the form wouldn't drain energy. If you look up "Full power super Saiyan" it literally gives a picture and multiple sources of goku and Gohan post time chamber in "full power super Saiyan". Where did you get that from?

Vegeta referred to Kale as the Legendary SSJ in DBS and Broly's form is very similar to Kale's Berserk SSJ form

I feel like broly's green hair form is a mix of super Saiyan and wrathful state, except it has no set multiplier when using a uncontrolled state and can get as powerful as it wants. Hence, Kale was able to go toe to toe with ssjb Goku when she was in a uncontrolled state and was weaker when she was able to control it.

​@@samt.1356 she wasn't going toe to toe with Goku. He took her hits and had no visible damage, not even dust on his clothes and even said he's going to release more power. And the form that was actually weaker than her uncontrollable berserker was the yellow-ish green form she had against the pride troopers. The second time she controlled her berserker form, before Goku turned God, she was stronger. Even the audience said so. Ki control is a thing, you know. The better your control, the more power you can put out.

The form that goku and gohan "achived" in the time chamber is called "Super Saiyan" Goku also achived other boosted forms of super saiyan, grade 2 and 3, but nothing more. He just perfected Super Saiyan. The name "Full power super saiyan" is the name of broly's final transformation. That form can also be achived by ordinary saiyans, but it would have a different aspect and it would be extremely hard Besides, Xenoverse 2 is a 100% official source, and it calls it by its correct name

I believe the reason of his green hair form is much more complicated. The green aura and hair that vegeta has right before becoming a super saiyan, goku has the same green aura when becoming super saiyan blue. The green is from the rage to access super saiyan. And because broly is always raging, its always green

Dude. It's Broly. His entire character is being the Legendary Super Saiyan. If that weren't true then he wouldn't still have the same backstory and powers. That's literally his whole thing.

@@Orangeninja5000 So Goku along with Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, and Goten ALL hold the title “Legendary Super Saiyan”? And the legendary super saiyan might not even require the transformation. In the namek arc vegeta kept referring to goku as the legendary super saiyan even before seeing any sort of transformation. All goku did was get stronger and that made vegeta think of the legend. So the legend could just refer to a really strong saiyan without the transformation of Super Saiyan. Which is Broly given that he can keep up with vegeta and goku without even having to transform long into the fight. Also yes I watched the video but I think it’s worth noting that he also made a video called “What if Goku was the legendary super saiyan” implying he isn’t in the main canon

No, the dbz form is. The DBS form is titled “Full Power Super Saiyan” this is because the legendary super saiyan is the super saiyan that appears once every thousand years. This just so happens to be goku.

@@craiig4728 in the filler Z movies, broly was not the LSS because he was a SSJ first, rather it was because his form was different to that of Gokus. he was a unique warrior. DBS broly is similar to his old form, we also know his Universe 6 counterpart kale has a similar form labelled SSJ berserk. either way, the video is misleading because it isnt properly explaining how the original broly movie interpreted the legendary super saiyan myth to mean

@@RageArtEnthusiast Dont bring up kale she has nothing to do with this, in the Z movied he was labeled the Legendary Super Saiyan. In DBS he is labeled Fully Powered Super Saiyan. Canonically Goku is the Legendary Super Saiyan as he was the one the legend spoke of. Classic example of DB fans don’t read the manga or watch the show.

Still gonna call it Legendary until they come up with a better name for it. Also I like how the hair colors of the forms were switched in the new Broly movie. In the OG one, Broly started out with green hair, but as he gained more and more power, it turned golden. Which I think everyone agreed was a dumb move since all of Z broly's later forms have focused on the green color.

I heard some people refer to it as Loose Super Saiyan, cuz he's basically gone insane. I like going with that.

I love how Toriyama somehow made SS4 Canon with Brolys Warth Form since they both reviove around Primal Instinct.

There’s no statement in Canon that says the green haired form is a mix between Oozaru/Great Ape and his Super Saiyan. The green form is more like SSBE being his own special variant of SSJ.

It’s a mix of Ikari/Wrathful and SSJ. Ikari is the power of the Great Ape without turning into a Great Ape, so Ikari + Super Saiyan = Great Ape + Super Saiyan in terms of power

His normal ssj form is a mix between ssj and oozaru, since he already was a ikari(oozaru) before he transformed into ssj, and the green haired form is a stronger version of ssj, so he actually is a green golden oozaru in humanoid form
