I read this too. And also read that one translator says the dialogue is in fact 'we will go get pan'. Which could be the bread. But then Vegeta says 'she's your grandaughter' so I don't know what they meant for real! 😄@@h2squared

I feel Toriyama couldn't move on from Goku being his main considering how long he's being writing his story so Toyotaro inheriting Dragon Ball will give the franchise a new direction. I identify with the dilemma Akira Toriyama had to deal with quite a bit. For as many characters he's created he probably couldn't find a good point to break away from Goku's story.

I got cell saga and saiyan saga nostalgia when Kakarot stopped the fight and called in Broly and then Prince Vegeta called down Broly for his turn 🥲. Had all their Saiyan blood boiling😂

I loved this chapter and I honestly felt like that was a good way to indirectly say whose stronger than who without explicitly making fights this gives me the order Goku, vegeta, gohan, broly

Like goku says it's never been his intention to beat gohan because it's always been his intention to see gohan Surpass him because ultimately no matter how old sayans live, they are mortal and goku loves Earth. Whether he's saying or not, that is where he knows it's home, and he wants to know that there is somebody protecting it when he's gone and gohan, is that person. Yes, goten and trunks are strong, but they rely on each other too much go on as an individual has the ability to surpass his father. And we have known that since the cell sago at 12 years old. He's not even a teenager. He's able to achieve super saiyan 2 and defeat an opponent. His father was unable to goku knows that. He has always known that he's always had that confidence in gohan. He saw it for himself in the time chamber I would like to see the story eventually.Drop away from goku.And move on to gohan And oub. I love goku.I've been watching dragon ball since he met boma after he was living alone when he killed his grandfather in the form of a giant at some point you have to Pass on the torch nobody lives forever And there will come a time when gohan needs to take goku's place And that first step was supposed to happen during the cell saga. However, the executives didn't want that they wanted more from goku so Akira Made the boo saga But goku has always intended on gohan taking his place And I think this is the first step on the road to doing that

And you know what? Even though vegeta would probably be more willing to destroy planets as a god of destruction I think gohan would make a good god of destruction because he would value life more than anybody else I think destroying things would be his last option. As a God of destruction and Bearis probably sees that. Who better to be a God of destruction than somebody who wants to destroy as little as possible? Somebody who uses their power only as a last resort.

I'm reading some comments and I'm scratching my head, not sure how some people reach the conclusion that Goku is significantly stronger than Gohan based on this fight , to me it shows that on average Gohan have more raw strength while Goku has better experience and speed, putting them in the same 'weight' category is a fail conclusion

Goku never see beerus' true power anime-wise, the 50% that beetus mentioned is a lie too. Which means the truth is broly is still probably around ~10% beerus. Or maybe not even close. The author never intented to show beerus' limit after all

The silent panels at the end were a nice touch. Who knows if was intentionally to give “a moment of silence” or simply that the dialogue hadn’t been completed, but it really was a nice emotional way to end the chapter.

I’m just glad we’re getting some Broly development. If he matched Beast Gohan in just Super Saiyan there is no telling how much more powerful he could become.

He didn’t match him- gohan kind of owned him here in terms of fighting goes. Which is just insane, people forget gohan is like 20 years younger than Broly. That’s 20 years less life experience. Broly also been training with goku and vegeta and whis. However Broly managed to unlock a new form- a controlled version of his enraged berserk form. This helped him progress. Both of them have tons of growth potential. I think it’s safe to say they both have similar potential- Broly with the most potential among pure bloods and gohan the most among half bloods. All in all I gohan is still a few steps ahead of Broly. While Broly is still new to ssj transformations, he still is older and more experienced than gohan overall and has been training harder. Also it’s interesting to note that gohan also has to control and hold back beast form, he said he could power up enough to go beserk. Both of them are similar and will grow a lot.

He’s a saiyan, training is his instinct and we have no idea what he did all that time if he only stayed on that planet, if no one strong ever invaded it or not. It was actually a very hostile environment with strong creatures he had to fight with to survive constantly on top of that. As a pure blooded saiyan it’s doubtful Broly never trained himself or sought out powerful opponents all this time as that is their instincts and why goku and vegeta never stop training. Gohan getting lazy and not training and losing progress is cuz he is more mentally human than saiyan, he’s a hybrid. If gohan had been full saiyan or had more of a saiyan mentality when it comes to fighting he would’ve never stopped training.

So was jumping to Ssb level just training with piccolo a few hours. Also how come people don’t have problems with brolys ridiculous progress but always have issues when gohan does it and he’s always been stated to have the most potential?

Extreme missed opportunity to make the Beast form an evolution of the Mystic form, it would have taken some plot convenience, but it wouldn't that hard to believe that the Beast form could be the final product of mystic, and it would be cool as Hell to have the 3 main saiyans all using separate deity forms Goku using the form of the Angels Vegeta using the form of the Destruction Gods and Gohan using the form of the Kais

You know, it's so messed up. I'm actually crying over Akira's death. It's so stupid.It's a guy i've never even met but I grew up watching dragon Ball I remember when goku met bolma I remember all the fights against the red army. I remember him meeting 13. I remember corn's tower. I remember Mr. Popo everything in between. He's the reason I love anime.He's the reason I got into martial arts.I joined boxing when I was like twelve years old because of dragon ball And dragon ball z.He's the whole reason.I ever did anime in the first place And I am literally crying over a man I haven't never met in my life I can't tell if that's stupid or heartwarming but MMA changed the course of my life. I grew up without a dad. My dad was An addict who abandoned me as a kid so I didn't have a father figure and MMA saved me I was in a gang.I was selling drugs.I was doing everything you're not supposed to and My whole life became about martial arts and it literally saved me from the streets. It made me commit to going to school. It made me commit to learning and mastering every martial art. I ever took from boxing to wrestling to Brazilian jujitsu It saved my life and the biggest factor in learning.All those martial arts was dragon ball z.So in a way he literally saved me from becoming just another statistic In a way he saved my life. Without going into martial arts without watching dragon ball and dragon ball ZI never would have went back to school. I never would have graduated. I never would have ended up with the job that I have and the wife that I have and the kids that I have. I never would have done any of that. I would have ended up as just another statistic. So even though it feels weird to cry about a guy. I never met that guy impacted my life so heavily with what he created that it feels wrong to not cry up. Especially with gohan I know what it's like to have a dad who's a good guy that's never around because my dad even though he was a drug addict he was a good guy he went to rehab and during the last Years of his life, I got him to come.Stay with me, but the drugs were just too strong.They impacted him too heavily and he went back and it got Him deleted, but despite all that I did love my dad. I have many good memories with him. But it was because of this show and the resonation. I felt with gohan during the cell arc. That I joined a martial arts club and I ended up fixing my life and putting it back together at around the age of 16 17. Otherwise I would have just ended up as another statistic.So in a way him making this honestly saved my life At the time, I didn't know that I was taking it. Just so people wouldn't mess with me. And so I could be a big tough guy. But ultimately it humbled me. It taught me perseverance resilience. And how do we accept defeat without becoming angry and distraught. It taught me that I could become a better person through hard work and perseverance.And ultimately I and that never would have happened if I didn't fall in love with this Universe that Akira made. I'm just a guy he never met, but he's saved my life.This show with these Characters they saved my life. They made me not become just another statistic from the ghetto.

Growing up On Jane and Finch in Toronto as the only white kid around it was hard, people did not accept me I had to earn that respect and I did that by hustling. And skipping school and doing things that just won't appropriate for the age that I wasbut joining martial arts because of this show. It turned my whole life around. It changed me into something that was better than what I was, it made my life Into something that was worth living. It made me so I wasn't just another statistics. OI wasn't just another guy who ended up in jail. I wasn't just another drug dealer. I was somebody who had purpose who had a reason to go on who had a future ahead of them. Like I'm balling. My eyes, I'm right now. Just f****** typing this. Ultimately Akira and the art he made and the show.He produced changed my entire life for the better and I don't know where I would have ended up without it but it certainly wouldn't be in the good place that I am now

Piccolo, a Namakian who can create Dragon Ball The Wishing orbs . Even in villain mode and Kami mode, Piccolo is the reason Dragon Ball exists on earth. Much like Akira Toriyama Sensei is the reason we have the Dragon Ball franchise to see. Piccolo Is Akira Toriyama Sensei. But His Hero is Goku. The one he's proud of.🥲 That's what I feel.

It's weird the story feels like a goodbye to Goku and Akira Toriyama. It feels almost planned. Regardless, Thank you Akira Toriyama for being my one of my biggest influence in my childhood. Not just for Dragon Ball, but also Dr. Slump and my favourite video games of all time Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest games.
