I personally like the direction Multiverse took with universe 18's goku and vegeta. But for sure Kakumei is definitely competing for # 1 dbz fan manga. New Hope is mid to me but thats just an old mans opinion.

Considering how Ultra Ego came out after the production of Kakumei this definitely isn't that. My best guess is that they're going to the old Tournament of Power theory that Vegeta has the offensive Ultra Instinct.

​​@@ALiteralRottenHusk it was this outdated theory that basically took the description of Gokus UI Sign and ran with it. Since he wasn't completely UI yet back then, it was described by whis as "defensive Ultra Instinct" because his offensive power wasn't as good as his dodging abilities. UI mastered was later confirmed to be offensive and defensive so the line was outdated which made Vegeta having offensive UI become impossible as purely offensive is not a thing. He got an offensive god form, however, in his Ultra Ego. So in a way it was correct if you wanted to be nice. But if they're not doing Ultra Ego then it's gonna be a new thing altogether so ignore this concept.

This is the pinnacle of all db fan mangas. With the god killer series the voices are rough and the sketches are rougher. In beyond dbs, the art is great but there's paragraphs of dialogue. Kakumei is 100% worth the extra wait for each new chapter.

Like others have said, probably a different UI fighting style. Vegeta is more offensive than defensive. The writers have already stated that they are not going to introduce UE into this story. So they have to give him something else.
