this channel is a perfect example of where hard work, risk, and innovation gets you. not to sneak diss some other creators but there r a lot of complacent db youtubers resting on the fact that they arrived to DB youtube first and rely on biweekly “x transformation explained” rehashes of the same old video they did years ago. not only has carthu consistently upped his content, but he constantly improves his content quality as well

Even IRL companies become complacent because they’ve been around so long and thus maybe may not try as hard as a newer company trying to get off the ground (this translates to KZread pretty well)

Oh so it was Live & Learn by Crush 40 made as the theme for Sonic Adventure 2, the 10th anniversary title for the series, which was originally released on Sega’s last console the DreamCast, which was discontinued, and Sega became a software manufacturer and said game was released on Nintendo’s GameCube and Sonic Advance 1 was released on GamBoy Advanced on the same year, and had two sequels with a another game, Sonic Battle, being the prequel to the third game, and back to Adventure 2, which had a “not sequel, sequel(?) game, Sonic Heroes which wasn’t well received, and was technically a prequel to the terrible Shadow.T.H.2005 game and right after was the 15th anniversary title Sonic.T.H.2006, and also a Wii game was made so Sonic could have a title, Sonic & the Secret Rings on the Nintendo system the same year which wasn’t also good due to gameplay, and had a sequel years later, Sonic & the Black Knights, but before that the title World Adventure was released two years after Sonic 06, and worldwide was known Unleashed as World Adventure was what the game was referred to as in Japan, and Shadow 05 - Black Knights was also the games where most of the Sonic X/4Kids voice cast were the ones of course voicing the characters for the English dub replacing the original (?) cast members in the game I first talked about, and they also voiced the characters in Rush duology games and the first two Riders games, before they were replaced for the mostly new voice casts for Colors & Free Riders and onwards…

half the fun is making fun at it TBF. lots of possibilities wasted because they couldn't hire a fact checker in the writing staff to actually have a correct powerscaling and stuff that don't directly contradict DB/DBZ if you just take the end result out of it, having a depowered goku going around the universe is cool, baby is actually a very decent villain, the revival of the android Saga finally gives 17 a bit of a glow up (he was totally useless in DBZ) and the dragon balls itself becoming the enemy is actually a nice idea to wrap it up. Too bad they just screw everything up

@@SullivanDLuffy terrible pacing, inconsistency with the source (db and dbz), bad and recycled animation, padding (in an anime that doesn't have a manga to follow this is particularly terrible), those are just a few examples. I personally disliked how they handled the 7 dragons, 2 of them are memorable, the othet are pretty meh-ish. Also they completely botched uub, and the z warriors are basically a battery to charge goku when needed(wouldn'tba senzu bean suffice?)

In fact, the only difference I see is that GT isn't written by Toriyama which I'm sure most people wouldn't have known if they didn't straight up tell us. Keep in mind, Toriyama had editors to keep him in line most of the time. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have gotten Cell. And if it wasn't for them, Cell's final form would've been Semi-Perfect Cell rather than Perfect Cell. I mean, the one arc where Toriyama had full writing and creative freedom was the Buu arc which a lot of people thought was the messiest and least popular arc out of all of DBZ.

0:32 The idea of the GT time skip being 10 years didn't originate from Funimation, and they didn't use it outside of some marketing on their old website. A 10 year time skip had been floated around by the fanbase long before their dub released, and Funimation's booklets for the GT series sets use 7 years.
