Okay but he skipped the perv humor which is a constant early on and continues when it comes to roshi oolong blooma and even lunch...we even get a half filler episode about perving on chi chi..it's not just limited to 2 arcs it died down a hair due to the story focusing on just goku after the general blue stuff but man there's still hints of it for the rest of the series..I did like not having it really outside of 1 moment during the muscle tower section...you can have it but it goes too far too much too long

Out of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball-Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super, I've always loved the original Dragon Ball anime the most. The emphasis on adventure and the unique, weird and wonderful characters Goku meets on his travels is just wonderful. The episode where Goku fights the ninja assassin Murasaki is hilarious.

This was fantastic. I was obsessed with Dragon Ball when I was a kid, but I only watched the first ~50 episodes, and I only vaguely knew the later story arcs from reading summaries. I actually never knew a lot of these details, or I'd long forgotten them.

I enjoyed this a lot! I love Dragon Ball and I’m currently experiencing Dragon Ball Z for the first time. I’d love to see a similar video on Dragon Ball Z, but I understand how much of a pain that might be. 😅 Anyways, great job and keep up the amazing work!

I wasn't sure what to expect, but VERY well done! Still, 3 points you should probably have mixed in just for context: The demons killed Krillin because he was in the tournament - no martial masters, no sealing martial arts Triclops has a psychic baby friend. Both can fly.

Triclops has a psychic baby friend who gets all of 1 remotely interesting fight in literally the entire franchise Seriously, Chiaotzu has more deaths (Piccolo, Nappa, Kid Buu) in canon than he has anything that can be considered a fight (Krillin, Nappa).

@@nld4643 Thanks. The older you get the more you realize the suits see your childhood as nothing more than a crack whore they can prostitute to get more shekels. There’s something the director of Toy Story said about giving his property over to Disney was like giving his children over to child molesters. And Toriyama wanted to end the series after Dragon Ball AND the Freeze saga AND the Cell Saga but Shonen Jump just forced him to keep on chugging. The editors or executives don’t care they just want a paycheck. Art is their LAST priority.

It's a strange feeling to know you've watched the series to the end, but the same time not because sometimes you just wouldn't be able to watch an episode when it aired on TV... so you have these gaps in the story. Though as time goes by and you get some of the gaps filled you start to think that you didn't watch some of the episodes you did at the time.

This entire video is fantastic. The editing, the jokes, the fact that you explained the plot of OG Dragon Ball in such concise way. You've somehow managed to surpass yourself once again

Up until this year I never watched a single piece of any DB media, I’ve been peripherally aware of some characters and maybe saw a clip here or there. I just finished watching the final episode of this orignal DB series and I loved it so much. I’m definitely “into it” now. @@Scerotic yeah for sure! I’m actually considering making TikTok’s about my thoughts as I watch the series. I thought DBz started off with a bang with the raditz/Saiyan story. I’m impressed with how the series continuously is able to up itself in every way. Piccolo was one of the characters I was most interested in by the end of DB and I’m happy he has an interesting story in DBz from the start. I like that he’s overseeing gohan in training and also trying to master his own skills. On the topic of gohan he’s another aspect of the show I’m really digging. Seeing goku grow into a young man and now an adult was really fascinating but it’s great to have that kid goku energy back in the fold with gohan. I also really am enjoying watching gohan go from a sheltered kid into someone discovering his true potential. Goku has been walking the trail to king Kai for some time now and just was knocked over the side in the last episode I watched. I’m excited to see what comes of that along with his eventual resurrection. DB made me a big fan of goku already so I’m just excited to see all he can do. Aside from the plot and characters I love the art style and animation, can’t get enough. I was never really into anime before. I’ve watched ATLA but I know that’s not really anime. I hope this is the kind of response you were looking for!

I liked it when the series was a goofy and laid back show about exploring the world, and interacting with all of the weird characters that never get any kind of screentime or reappearances anymore. When it started to become about fighting and tournaments that's when I sort of started to get a bit detached from it, but the fights were still incredible to look at. In the scarce moments they actually show us humanity's POV in z and super, I can't get enough of it.
