YES! When we saw the back of the finished controller I was BLOWN AWAY at the difference that made

GOD that GameCube startup gives me insane nostalgia. It has got to be my biggest nostalgia trigger, anytime I hear it I’m instantly transported back to my childhood, literally dozens of memories flood into my mind in less than a second.

It’s strangely both relaxing and fascinating watching you bring all these items back to life.

Looks like the original owner buried it in their backyard for a couple years and then came back for it. The bugs and grime inside were gnarly. Love your vids, and that you go the extra mile in your cleanings/repairs, even down to the screws!!

Yes it can be used again for a few times but not to infinity. The reaction will get slower and slower untill it stops

Here is a couple more suggestions for the yellowing of the cables: 1. Baking soda. 2. Bleach. 3. Cream peroxide, set it out in the sun for 3-4 hours. Great video.

This is literally perfect timing!! I just bought a broken GameCube controller and thought I was going to have to go off of a different video for reference, but luckily I get to learn from the best 😎

I love this channel because it's one of the only "restoration" channels that's actually real. Some other videos like this are just people covering consoles in dirt and putting them near trash-filled areas, and claiming they found the console like that.

The part where he re-assembles the controller is what you feel like when you re-assemble a pen in school

they were made for the wii, oddly enough. Sakurai wanted people used to playing Smash on gamecube controller to be able to transfer their muscle memory over from melee. they figured it'd be a good idea to sell a wii brawl bundle with new GCCs in case people's old controllers were showing signs of wear, though it was only made available in japan. releasing new controllers is a tradition that's continued for every smash title since, though the JP whites have long been considered the highest quality stock GCCs money can buy, at least for smash.

Hey odd, I found an indigo Nintendo GameCube controller at a local collectible store, got it with broken sticks. They included replacement sticks for free, so I opened it up (I already had tri-wing drivers) and replaced the sticks. There was bad dirt build up, but I repaired the entire controller, and it looks and works like new, your videos inspire me to do similar things, and I really enjoy it. Also the isopropyl alcohol worked like magic :)

Another solid repair video, OT! ^^ I think have a handful of GameCube controllers that aren't working properly, and that's mainly the Control Sticks that always seem to move things on their own, so maybe someday in the future I'll be able to fix them! :) Your videos, and even repair channels in general, have definitely inspired me to try, and fix some of my older stuff!
